Wow I had no idea Kitsuma was this flowy. I've only ridden Dupont, Bailey and Bennett Gap/Black Mtn. Thanks for sharing

Yep so flowy and good...

I went off the trail same spot you did first time i rode this and carried so much speed that i had to jump over that log from the corner got a bit carried away with the how fast and fun the trail was 😂

Was near there this past weekend, however the kids were with me and I wasn't sure if they could handle it. I'm hoping to try it out in May though when I go back to the Dupont / Pisgah area. Looks fun.

It's definitely worth a trip back!

Man I need to get back there, that trail was sick, but I was already tired from a morning ride, I underestimated how tough the climb up is!
@Projectnortheast4 жыл бұрын
For sure definitely worth atleast a couple laps.

Nice vid.. I'm heading to NC for a week of riding and stoked on pisgah. This looks like an epic ride. Any tips on the climb up? Trailforks doesn't show any fire road that I can see just a Greenway. Is the Greenway recommended route to hit top of kitsuma? It's rated a black but your video doesn't show too much in the way of challenging terrain, what's your opinion on its rating? Black? Blue?
@Projectnortheast4 жыл бұрын
The Greenway is the climb. Its a paved path. I would say kitsuma is mostly a blue trail with small sections of black terrain.

Great riding, going to watch it twice. Nice that you did it when it was cooler, i was at Lake Crabtree Today riding intermediate trails and temp was 93, in 90 minutes i was drenched, its a nice place for an average/intermediate ride like myself. I have a nice bike, 2019 Rocky Mountain Instinct carbon 90 BC edition with some carbon wheels and bars, got an EXCELLENT price on it so i bought it and threw on the extras. I have been to Dupont a few years ago for a few days, stayed in Hendersonville at a bike friendly Hotel, my skills need to improve for an double black trails or i will be walking more than riding, fun to watch better riders though

Thats whats great about Cycling its a personal journey and we can each progress in our own time! We rode this in April, and we were supposed to go back down but our trip got cancelled due to Covid. I hope to get down there again soon

@@Projectnortheast cool video. Is this trail right outside of Old Fort? Also, this is in April? Ever ridden up there in November / December? We’ve had a fairly dry fall, hoping the trails are still rideable
@Projectnortheast3 жыл бұрын
@@legestrom yes outside of old fort. Yeah this was in April I'm honestly not sure the conditions in Nov or Dec. I'm guessing it would be ok but would depend on the weather. I know in the winter they do have alot of freeze thaw which effects the trails

What's your approach to audio? Is this straight from the GoPro? Any post processing?
@Projectnortheast4 жыл бұрын
This video is straight gopro audio from the hero 7. Most of my other newer videos I'm running in pro mode and using covers to reduce wind noise and it comes out better
@dukeofmtb4 жыл бұрын
@@Projectnortheast Same. I use the audio from the 7 too. I do a little bit of post processing though, just to make my voice slightly more audible.
@Projectnortheast4 жыл бұрын
@@dukeofmtb if you set it in pro mode in stereo and use a foam cover you prolly wont need to do any processing at all
@dukeofmtb4 жыл бұрын
@@Projectnortheast That's exactly what I do. I still like to tweak it a bit though. 😅

do you suggest a 27.5 or 29 for this trail
@Projectnortheast4 жыл бұрын
Whatever suits your fancy really. Nothing technical that I would want the 29 roll over for. I'm on 29 pretty much exclusively...

To answer the question...No, it is not the flowiest trail in Pisgah. Cantrell Creek might be though.
