I think that the reason why Korean may eat radish with it is because the chicken tends to be super greasy and the radish balances it out.. they also tend to drink beer with their fried chicken Also before Korean eat they say 잘 먹겠습니다 , which basically translates to I'll eat well or I'm going to eat well, and after they finish they say 잘 먹었습니다 / 잘 먹었다 which means I ate well I am not a Korean by heritage, but I major in Korean studies, so if I made a mistake please let me know 😄 Other than that love this video !!!

Baek Jong-Won (Chef Paik) had this awesome show I used to watch called Delicious Rendezvous. He and three celebrities would create recipes using local ingredients then cook and serve them at various South Korean rest stops. S. Korean rest stops are known for their awesome food offerings. But his show was to specifically teach the public different ways to prepare certain overstocks of produce or unpopular cuts of meat that were specific to that rest area locale, as a way to help out the farmers of S. Korea and fight spoilage on food overstock. It is an awesome show, and so enlightening about Korean food culture. One thing I found interesting was one show he did highlighting local pork, he mentioned that Koreans love the fattier cuts of pork and how most people did not know how to cook the leaner cuts and so they usually never buy them. This is so opposite of how we are here in the US. Pork belly is easy to find in any grocery store there, here you have to really look to find a regular grocery that sells it.

Yeah, what is it with the Korean street food? They must have the greatest street food culture in the world, and that's saying a lot. Maybe Emmy has to organize a field trip for her fans.

In the u.s., Cornish hens are simply a Cornish/white rock cross that is grown to @ 6 weeks old. They are 5-6 lbs by 8 weeks old (usually), and 10 to 12 lbs by 12 weeks. All the same chicken, just a hybrid that grows super fast.

My mom used to make us Cornish Game Hens on special occasions. She would stuff them with herbs and wild rice, then broast them in the oven in white whine, onion, and mushrooms. YUM. They are so good! I have to try this!

Anyone else flash on Chef John of FoodWishes at 12:04 when Emmy was demonstrating how crunchy the coating came out, and think "Chopsticks don't lie"?

A Cornish Game Hen is a cross of two chicken breeds. They are the same size as normal chickens when an adult. They are small in the market because they are processed at 5 to 6 weeks of age. They are neither game birds nor hens as both males and females are sold.
