Honestly, the guy saying Saintotas is making drama? Well, no. 1. Gacha Smack lacks research; his points are just bullet points. - Gacha is bad, but his examples are only WuWa and Genshin Impact. - ToA is bad, but he only cites Genshin Impact. There are more games with similar mechanics. He admitted on Tectone's stream that if he asks for solutions, he doesn't know what he's doing. - Gacha Smack usually provides solutions in his guides. His rare open-ended videos show he doesn't fully understand the topic. 2. Vars' WuWa videos are full of mistakes. 3. Saintotas' issue is his emotions. His emotional reactions start the drama, not the content itself. 4. The drama didn't start with Saintotas. MrPokke said we need more criticism videos, so Gacha Smack made one even if he didn't know what he was talking about. If you take Gacha Smack's criticism literally, you would: A) Remove ToA. B) Rework ToA 90% like the story, which made 1.0 story trash. Game Devs ignoring that sloppy open-ended video would be good. That's the same criticism that ruined the 1.0-1.5 story. You like that? Ive been saying since day one that they need to give the 1 and 3 costs echoes use through the other 4 equip slots. For example letting a transform echo be triggered when you get knocked down to cancel out, letting a summon echo assist on a counter, tacking them on as a basic combo finisher, maybe have a 1 cost summoned at start of combat or just letting us have a 1 cost as a full on pet.

Not a personal fan of when Saintontas is not near shouting or a lot more rage filled. But i do see he has a point when calling these out. My main hope is he branches out more, which he actually did wirh his latest stream, to more bringing the commhnity closer through collabs like these actually! Good video, and in terms of gachas... Hi3 at launch. (Had to quit due to losing my phone the first year, came back but never fully dedicated to it as i was back then) Azur lane at launch. (Quit around the Neptunia collab) Law of Creation Exos Heroes Fgo Eternal City (I miss you) Alchemy Stars Granblue Fantasy Arknights Tower of Fantasy Blue Archive Nikke HSR Genshin PGR GFL2 Wuthering Waves ZZZ And probably a lot more. Damn I hate how reasonable Saintontas sounds when he's outside of his videos, I just can't ignore the misinfo he was spreading back on launch about the VA contracts and shit, that was horrid. Also I just learned that the biggest Kuroshill actually never have played PGR like wtf. Regarding Wuwa the best thing will always be combat that much is obvious, and that's literally the only thing keeping me in the game rn, idk which one I least like about Wuwa whether it's the Open World or the Story, the Story isn't that terrible but holy it's very disappointing, it's the wasted potential of it that's pissing me off. Open world yea, I'm not a fan of just running around the world collect chests and do 1 time story quests but it feels like I never did anything to actually influence the world.

My main complaint with Wuwa is, although I've been enjoying all of the character stories with each event, the overall story has basically devolved in to how every new character just wants to bang Rover lol. I'm really hoping Kuro adjusts and refocuses on telling the story they started telling in 1.0 cause I'm still so interested in the world they set up

@@Aldoopiola I really love this copium believing its a dying gacha, even if we have to use your fav. thing aka revenue estimates, 10mil per month, can be only dreamed of some games, most games initial heavy investment are in the development of the game, after release if it was receive successful they mostly recoup the cost, and WuWa was successful and pretty much recoup most of their development cost. So the only thing they need to do making sure the players are satisfied, as long as the game gets 5m USD or more, as long it doesn't go below 1mil, the game won't die. The only thing will really kill GI,WW etc if Ananta will genuinely can deliver of all the cinematic trailer they've been releasing into gameplay and whether how bad the gacha is.

Hey, nice, I watch Saintotas' content! I filled out Kuro's latest survey, and at the end, the "more feedback" section, I brought up echoes. Again! To me, it's not about inventory capacity, it's about getting those damn 3 cost echoes with the main stat that you want. Combine that with the substat lottery and it's very hard to get even a decent set sometimes. Yeah, getting a perfect roll should take some grind or some great luck, I agree, but it's egregious on those 3 cost echoes because of how many different main stats there are they can roll. Even just allowing us to reroll one or two substats would make a big difference.

Since Saintontas mentioned about echoes, my personal pet peeve on it is the RNG on substats. I've been wasting my sources just to get my desired substats and still don't get what I want. I hope kuro wil make some device or something to replace just one of the substat you want to replace to.

I would like to point out something briefly mentioned. Yeah, the TV mode gameplay in ZZZ is awful. But that team is in fact listening. They just listened a little late. Since 1.2, the TV mode stuff, at least for the main story, has completely dropped. It's now only in side quests. Unfortunately Hollow Zero still has it. But Endless Tower is a new addition that doesn't have it and feels way better to play.

One of my biggest gripes is that the combat is satisfying, but when I play ToA, instead of actually using the combat mechanics, I find myself not giving a fuck and just tanking the hit to get through the rotation as fast as I can. Mostly because the rotations are so tight for non-whales who have good enough stats on their echos that youre rushing to meet the damage check within the 3 minute requirement. So instead of using the the satisfying combat mechanics that were introduced to us in the beginning, you just use the turtle 4 cost and tank the hit instead. Not all the time, but more often than I should be.

My favourite part of Wuwa is ofcourse: The Combat designs(characters and echoes and bosses) . something more towards the hologram side. Well my least favourite part is rover being an overpowered mc and the story centered around him like SAO. I know rover isn't meant to be weak but that doesn't mean other characters shouldn't be strong. Hoping for very good villains in WuWa. Just imagine we had character attention in WuWa like we have in blue Lock. I dont want mc clearing all shit there is because he remembered his past or smtg. Let the writing build up properly. That's why I'm waiting for the 2.0 story. Instead of MC being the center of all things , for once let him be swept along the plot and not the other way around. (Yep i hated it when scar was captured. Like bro's narrative is legendary and bro still got captured by a weak ahh rover and jinshi. I hope that they atleast Reveal it later that he chose to get captured to advance his plans that are not under the fracsidus' radar or smtg.) Defeating the boss in game doesn't mean that the boss lost in the story.

Only thing I say and keep saying is that the Wuwa community is exactly doing the same thing as the Genshin community. Both games are good but both communities are so ungodly overhyping the most minute BS..it is crazy..you think both communities are enemies but if you look behind the curtain, whatever they want to admit it or not, they are exactly the same. yeah, KURO doing too much. 1.4 are an example of it. dream link ended up lacking, BGM issue in somnoire that become not enjoyable, etc. like doing new stuff are great thing, but if it affect the quality of other event especially main one, prefer if they tone it down bit. this is why I wish KURO focus on adding more permanent contents first so players have some stuff to do and KURO have some room to breath to maintain the quality of the game

tbh, as someone who is with hoyoverse for around 7yrs, or i would say, mihoyo, their meta problem stems from their 3rd game, hi3 or Honkai Impact 3rd, maaaan! every captain you ask playing hi3 will say, when it comes to meta, every new character is a new meta, its just i think kinda improve on part 2 when it comes to its gears, but before part2, each characters signaure gears, need 4 set of gears, and gears has its own gacha, and f2p gears are sh*tty asf, idk if this "problem" stems from ggz, you should ask its players 😅

gbf relink was boring and a grind fest, the main story was fun but after that i quit, felt like you either play perfectly like a souls game which was cool, some bosses did felt like bosses, but it took half an hour to kill them cause i was underprepaired, i had a lower power than the requirements therefore you do almost no damage. it's like playing a gacha game without gacha

9:15 not true, i play HSR. My Acheron still clears any endgame which is a character that came out a long time ago now and i only have s0e1(signature LC). Same goes for Firefly and many other at this point older characters, hell i even clear MoC with Kafka+Blackswan DOT team still. People who say the game is hard and HP inflation got high/power creep is really bad are just BAD themselves. I am f2p and I've never had any problem clearing any of the endgames in the game. Sorry to say but that is OBJECIVLY misinformation Mr.Saintontas.

Try clearing with Seele and see how good it feels. Not that you can't, but compare how someone working with early 1.0 characters would feel to play, compared to the current roster. Powercreep isn't just about pure numbers or mechanics having higher numbers, but also the same experience. It's something that a lot of gachas tend to do, and HSR has it a lot more glaring as back in the stretch of 1.0 and onwards, say Xianzhou Luofo with Inhibitor Danheng, it wasn't as drastic compared to how Acheron and Firefly, who with Firefly specifically directly made Silver wolf's niche useless, as an example of direct power creep too.

Nah, he's right. I have E2 Acheron and FF. But with the pace the game powercreeps chars, by 4.0, they will be at IL/Jingliu's level lol. Sure, they will still clear content. But the player experience would be bad. I'm planning to quit when that happens. Even GI powercreep isn't this bad. In HSR, old E6 5* are worse than new E0-E2 5*. And we're less than 2yrs into the game...

What it did right: The combat, the traveling/exploration aspect. Not being slowed down by stamina e.t.c. The character design/animations. What it did wrong: Copying Genshin's awful gacha system. Low gacha currency income outside of login bonus giveaways or free pulls given by devs for special ocasions. No means of auto clearing domains/content to save players time from redundant repetitiion. Raising a character takes too long as resource needed are a chore to farm.

Im perennely on subscription and bought all BP, the last pg i pulled for was Shorekeeper who left me with a few astrites (2-3k i don't remember) and just now in 2.0 after skipping 3 (THREE) characters i'll can be sure to pull for the one i want (Carlotta) + her weapon. I repeat, subs+BP since 1.1, doing dailies everyday, events, 27/30 ToA because i suck, everything the game gives i take it, and despite all of this i was forced to skip 3 characters for the certainty to getting one, if i was a f2p i should have skipped Carlotta as well. Is this user friendly? Do we want to speak about an actually f2p game when you dont need to spend a single penny to have every character? There's not even need to change company, because PGR do better than wuwa in basically every aspect, first of all gacha system. In my eyes situation is pretty clear: pgr=love wuwa=money. EDIT: Actually skipping 3 characters + 3 signatures and SK weapon, just to be correct at 100%.

@ i prefer vibrant color styles and modern designs for example genshin with thier beautiful and colorful and vibrant world ( even though the devs are greedy and extremely incompetent ) i also stopped playing pgr for the same apocalyptic feeling artstyle it wasn’t for me If i wanted to play hod of war or dmc 5 or bayonetta I would’ve but i want to play an anime style game that’s why even though tof was a horrible game i stuck with it even till now i planned on pulling nemesis but after i watched ur rating video i knew it was finally time to drop tof and focus on wuwa, thanks by the way that has been the best decision I’ve made in a while cuz tof treated me so badly

I'm gonna be honest: WuWa is trying too much to be a "better genshin" or "better gacha" that they forgot they were WUTHERING WAVES. Everything feels catered to the traditional waifu simulator. We all know thats all that sells anyway Kuro was the first company that made me feel like they coud shake things at 1.0, hell I was like shit they're trying to expand this game to be more than justa waifu collector. but since 1.1, I HAVE LOST ALL HOPE They're just another gacha for mfs to thirst over now. Embarassing for a devs listened farmers.

I somewhat found out similar things to you idk if they are trying to be better genshin/gacha or not, neither do I truly know if they are planning to be a waifu simulator. While Genshin has its own issues, WuWa also has its own, the toxic positivity, it is like gaslighting themselves to feel good about spending money (my experience with some WuWa players) while Genshin uses a ton of dark psychology methods to get players to spend. Fundamentally, I do not care about the community, I play Genshin because preparing combat system through elemental fights is cool to me. While WuWa has other aspects I enjoy. I just wish both gacha games would move away from the daily grind. This is why I only play for story now

I'm curious about this how do you know they are trying to be a better Genshin? do you know personally the devs or its just your assumption? 🤔 Maybe the problem is your expectations because for sure they have nothing to do with the devs expectations and the vision they have for their game. If you're losing hope put them in another place, as easy as that. Instead of writing and assuming one wants to be better than the other fomenting more the drama, take a healthier aproach and look for a place for your "lost hope". By the way all the devs in all the genres want to creat the "best game" for that reason they work. IF your waves aren't wuthered, your the problem not the devs :)

And no i dont have a booty call with devs to know this much, from the chatacter lay out to the drip marketing to the user interface (UI in the game specially), everything is a direct inspiration from genshin. Shit they even copied spiral abyss of genshin and put it in wuwa where the game DOESNT fit that style of endgame. I believe Gacha Smack and other creators have made videos on the issue with wuthering waves. And that ideology of "oh if u dont like it u are the problem" has lead genshin to be the shit game it is today. Blatantly defending game on it's flaws is NOT A FLEX. Your waves may be wuthered from bare minimum generic shit, but if "devs" truly "listened", it wouldnt have been that hard for them to add more male characters. it could have built it's own foundation by breaking the norm and instead of only focusing on waifus, maybe make some fucking male characters and be different from all these generic ass gachas. oH but im the promlem, oh but go play another game, bla bla, point and case closed, this is something they should be criticized for and if u diagree it's okay, but that doesnt make you righteous either thats all.
