I’ve watched ball for 45 years and I’d don’t put accolades at the top of the list but overall skill level, clutch ability, and leadership. I know these 3 don’t have numbers but we can see it. That’s why I have guys like MJ, Bird, Olajuwon and Kobe, and I would put Kyrie and Luka on the list too. Luka doesn’t have a lot of accolades yet but wow is he skilled and Mr. Clutch. I like guys who are fearless and want to take the last shot in playoff games. Those are leaders. The way Kyrie handles the ball, it’s artistic. I don’t care about athleticism or how high he can dunk. It’s his game and basketball IQ.

@hectorferlinicartin31157 ай бұрын
Well, it depends on how you define what skill means. The way the concept is used in this video is very ambiguous. Dribbling the ball is a skill, but so it is passing, shooting and defending. Also, being a good leader, knowing the pace of the game and making good decisions are types of skills. So, if the video's question is "is Kyrie the most skill player ever at dribbling the ball", I would say yes, probably (not definitely, cause we don't have a way to measure such a thing). Besides, the fact that many players say that Kyrie is the most skilled doesn't make that claim true, cause those are only their opinions (opinions of people with knowledge on the matter, but opinions at the end of the day). Opinions can change depending on many factors, but, again, those are opinions based on an ambiguity, and would be better said if they define what they understand by skill.

I've always wondered how dominant certain players would be had they been more physically gifted, taller/stronger/faster, played on better teams, or avoided injury. Kobe was one example, as he felt like the epitome of skill meets work ethic, yet put him in Lebron's body, and I think he'd go down as the GOAT. Kyrie is another example. His skills are undeniable. He also manages to rack up a lot of points while also not going to the line a lot. Is that because he's not getting fouled? No, it's because he's smaller & so smooth, the refs don't notice the contact as much. He also doesn't feast off dunks like a lot of the larger, more athletic players. If he was 6'5, there would be entire highlight reels of just him posterizing people.
