Nobody is arguing that lebron is a bad player. But what people mean when they say clutch is coming up big in those moments. It just is what it is. Lebron not clutch. This whole thing about being "clutch" has nothing to do with the last few minutes of games, it's those iconic moments like making bryon Russell fall or moving to center for the last game of the finals.

LeBrons 4thQT pts means absolutely nothing if Ray Allen doesn't hit that shot 😂 It was a last second shot off of LeBrons bricked 3, rebounded by Bosh, & thrown to Allen in the corner Not even mentioning Kyrie saving LeBrons legacy in 2016
@rajabamrani29113 ай бұрын
@@FrokuBabayy that's why those talk about being clutch or not is sometimes bs. What was the valu of the Shot of Jordan if Jordan and Rodman did not double teamed Malone and he made that shot? A game it,s a 48 minutes battle, not just one shot. One of the reason why Curry was not known as a clutch player was that GSW during their run they were simply far above anyone and was most of the time winning their game before the last five.

LeBron been clutch his whole career. He been clutch since high school actually won multiple national championships and tournaments in high school, then throughout his entire career save for one series he was either scoring the most in the fourth out of either team or scoring and assisting the most out of either team in the fourth quarter of games. Throughout each regular season from 2006-07 up through 2018, he was always top 10 in fourth quarter and clutch scoring. Thats 11 years of constantly carrying teams down the stretch of games but never getting credit for it from the media and every non- LeBron fan. Hes the only player where people outright deny things hes capable of. For example we all acknowledge currys shooting abilities and ball handling, but imagine if there were media pundits still to this day questioning if curry was the best shooter of all time or if he changed the game. You would look at the pundit as insane. Now take LeBron. Constantly clutch and leading the league in fourth quarter scoring but gets called a choker and "doesn't have a clutch gene", "not a closer". Same goes with his shooting. Throughout this video he was constantly shooting well from 3 hitting tough jumpers from all over but people will look you in the eye and say LeBron cant shoot. Would a player who cant shoot opt for a step back jumper from 3 with igoudala in their face for a game winner? Hell no zion or giannis or shaq is taking that to the rim 100% of the time. I don’t personally think getting layups is nearly as clutch as shooting. Maybe it’s because I’ve never been big enough to play that ball game well at all. But charging and coming downhill from the arch and pushing anybody who gets near you with the ball cradle like Derrick Henry just doesn’t do it for me. Scary to watch as a fan of the other team- but just doesn’t do it for me.

Being clutch is about winning. Playing pro sports is about winning. And anybody who has ever played basketball knows that a layup or dunk is the highest % shot you can get, not a 3 pointer, or even worse, a mid-range jumper. But I'm just being rational here. That said, a buzzer beater from 40 ft where the ball stays in the air for like 3 seconds is the most emotionally satisfying, I agree ;)

Excluding 2011, that's 20 seasons of brilliance from him, every other finals he lost aside from 2011, was him leading his team in multiple statistical categories, he did not choked in fact he would have won finals mvp in all of those 5 losses if it weren't just strictly given to the winning team.

Won 1 chip at an aging 35 (like wilt) of which he was finals MVP, 2nd in PPG in laker history: 0.4 behind Elgin Baylor, 2nd in APG in Lakers history behind Magic Johnson, And by the end of this 2024 - 2025 season he will be top 10 in total points, total assist, and top something like top 15 in total rebounds in Lakers history. Well you gotta remember MJ and Kobe had totally different play styles than Lebron. They were primarily perimeter players while Lebron mainly dominates inside the paint. So obviously Lebron is going to be more efficient overall cause a majority of his points were dunks and layups. He was never a better free throw or midrange shooter than MJ and Kobe while being a slightly better 3 point shooter but that’s only because he shoots way more threes due to this 3 point dominant era while MJ and Kobe never had to shoot that many due to their eras being more focused on inside and midrange shots. The fact that Lebron only shoots over 50% for his career shows how poor he was at scoring outside the paint with only 38% outside 3 feet. He’s obviously very efficient overall when compared to most players in NBA history because of his longevity and how well he’s been able to maintain his skills and IQ. I’m not hating on Bron but the whole efficiency thing needs a lot of context and still he’s only 1% more efficient than MJ who was a midrange and inside master and also his wizard years brought his efficiency down a bit too. Also Lebron didn’t reach 50% FG percentage until his last year in Cleveland so that’s not great for a guy who mainly drives to basket.
