0:32 I feel like this "lost value" is an illusion. Weezing does the same damage as liepard (thanks to poison) has more hp, and has koga to allow plays that would be impossible with just retreating. I think weezing might just be straight up better. So even though you are stacking poisoners, I think weezing still makes a better sidekick.

There are some upsides: - With an already posoned pokemon 40>30 (but that is rare) - Retreat cost is lower = no need for Koga = two extra slots in your deck. Weezing is great, but it still not ALWAYS the better choice.

You then need two card slots for Koga rather than something else while Giovanni works on all pokemon.

Scolipede is a better Stage 2 partner for Weezing than Nidoking. Weezing can setup a tanky EX pokemon to take 120 damage from Scolipede on the next turn for only 2 energy. Nidoking would only be doing 90 damage on that turn for 3 energy. So really I don't disagree, Weezing is not the pokemon to toss out, it's actually Nidoking.

if you want an idea for nidoking, you can always try the "fish strategie" and mix it with nidoqueen.

In theory Liepard is a straight upgrade to Golbat since it has more HP and a unique weakness but Liepard's issue is that pesky Dark energy requirement. Golbat can be used in literally any deck to add coverage against MewEX, which can also bee seen in any deck. It can 2HKO Mew with Giovani and is guaranteed to survive one attack from Mew since its own move can't 1HKO itself. Liepard would be even better since it could stick around for 2 rounds vs. Mew if they potion up but it only works if you have Dark energy. Both cards kinda suck overall though; only useful for the solo challenges where you can't use EX cards.

Happy New Year Mog! I cooked up a pigeot primape deck that is really good into a lot of the 130 hp cards like celebi and zapdos. Been seeing a lot of success with it recently. Deck runs event mankeys and primape, with 1 marshadow for redundancy. Full pidgeot line with 1 pigeot and 1 pigeot ex, for games that run longer and disruption. 2 x-speed for good pivots and a singular pokeflute for scenarios to swap in with pidgeot, or buff pigeot ex (debated other cards but nothing else seemed worth). 1 sabrina for early tempo, and the standard add ins. Deck even has space for a red card. Let me know what you think!

I e wondered this for a while now but why is your channel name mogwai? You probably won't read this but the reason it's weak to grass because the Dark Darkness pokemon are weak to Grass (because of bug) instead of the Poison Darkness which are weak to fighting (because of ground) tcg has been doing it like that simce sword and shield, expect ice based water cards being being to metal instead of electric
