Misty straight up should have just been any non-basic water pokemon gets 1 energy, so it can help starmie or gyarados but it isn't an insta wipe, and since you can't evolve it can't do a turn 1 hit. And articuno would get its comeuppance.

If you look at the water roster, they are all balanced around misty. Cloyster attacks with 3 energy for 70 when he is not that tanky

@@littlejohn8435 The whole roster isn't though - Gyarados/Starmie EX/Articuno EX are not undertuned, which in turn makes Misty kinda nuts.

Why any though? She's the only trainer ramp card that can work with any Pokémon. Why can't Lt.Surge also work on Zapdos the way she works with Articuno? Meanwhile Blaine doesn't work with Arcanine when it's his signature Pokémon. If we want to keep "any water Pokemon" she should be way harder to pull off (flip two coins if both heads ramp one, for example) otherwise she should be Brock for water: only Seaking and Starmie (still the only trainer to ramp on an EX)

I would keep only the "must be used on an evolved pokemon". Guaranteed 1 energy would be too op for water imo. Making the card not working on basics eliminates the possibility of 1st turn Misty wins

Been playing this deck. Beat a lot of people with it, including some Misty decks. It's a cruel, heartless stall deck. I love it. I literally feel like Giovanni. Hope your Christmas was merry and bright, Mog. I'm surprised I didn't get coal in my stocking after playing this evil deck.

I honestly want to play a dual type deck but the fact that the energy zone randomly chooses the energy per turn is so dumb instead of smart ai that will decide what is needed makes it You could lose games because it decided to give you water energy this turn and the next but you only need 1 more lightning in order to attack.
