I am from México City, and I live now in Cuernavaca, why?? The weather, it's always nice, like between spring and summer all year round, also México City is 40 minutes away by car, so I get the best of both worlds, you can't beat that.

Wow. Cuernavaca looks like a great place to live. I personally don’t have anything against foreigners (in general) coming to Mexico. But please, don’t gentrifide. It’s not fair, that those of us, who are just average citizens (or locals) have to leave our own cities, (or neighborhoods) because they get too expansive to live in. Of course, I don’t mean to rude (and certainly, not prejudiced) I’m just saying, please know the difference, between “living” and “gentrifying.” Anyway. On a different subject: Can any of you, tell me, are there any job opportunities in Cuernavaca, for bilingual Mexicans? (Which, I’m assuming, you have already guessed, I am one). I live in GDL. This place is great in a lot of ways, but I don’t like the hot weather (it gets super hot in the spring, and specially, during the summer) But the thing that bothers me the most, is safety. I mean, this beautiful city, may be pretty safe for foreigners (which is a good thing) but it’s definitely not always safe for locals. Now, GDL, may not be a “battlefield.” But I would definitely not put it on a “one of the safest places to live in Mexico” list (Sad, but true). All the same. Thanks for this video. Welcome to Mexico. Subscribed. 🙋🏻♂️🇲🇽🇺🇸

Ok here is the true lowdown on Vaca Its not cheap, houses cost same or than normal USA city, its very dense.people are always adding another floor to their homes so many people in small area! Rents are easly $650 plus for one bedroom apartment Not easy-to-rent long term need cosigner and attorney to get contract. Its one hour from biggest city in the world, many ppl from Mexico city come every week end Loud parties!! Till5am if you lucky Down town no tourist anymore. Dirty Better choices abound, Mexico is beautiful, but not Cuernavaca sadly Me got married here in 1985.in those many Americans now I'm the only gringo here feels like In short its a Use To BeNice Town, Not now ..

It's all about perspective. There are several rentals in Cuerna that I have toured starting in the $400 USD/Month. With bills included. It's all about who you know and who is showing you rentals. Sure there are more expensive rentals. And Mexico is noisy- that's the true reality of things. It's not uncommon to hear parties in most towns in Mexico until the wee hours of the night. My advice, don't move near the centro if you're sensitive to noise 😀 I still think Cuernavaca is a great city and a great option for a lot of people

Agree with you, PLUS the State of Morelos is acceptable IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH getting a driver's license, paying car's tags, taxes without being FORCED into assistance of a "gestor" (a middle man to do your basic filling a simple government form) because even though you're well capable of doing it yourself, the employees make sure of given you a hard time and several trips till you accept their "suggestion" of hiring a "gestor"... Also, got severe eye infection and three eye specialists where unable to given me a correct diagnosis. Ended up Googling my myself the information and took care of it myself... MY EXPERIENCE of the state of Morelos... Beautiful place and weather.... That's all.

Another great video Mariana. My wife said that Cuernavaca is a beautiful city along with the surrounding area. She said I would just love the Calabacitas con Rajas y Elote and Nopalitos con Huevos for breakfast. I hear every state has their own way of preparing dishes. I love seeing the rental examples which gives me hope on early retirement. Kudos!

Let’s speak the truth, Cuernavaca is beautiful but crime runs rampant. One of the highest crime rates in the entire country. It is sad because it used to be a very safe city now it is a very dangerous city. Police and government are useless so all citizens have to watch over their shoulders at all times and I’m not exaggerating. I go to Cuernavaca often, believe me I know. Something to consider if you want to move.
