On my regular A7C the AF using the Sigma adapter is flawless. Now I'm looking to upgrade my GH5 for video, have been looking at the S5ii, and was wondering about getting this adapter for a couple of EF lenses I own. Hey Josh! This is a great video as always, very informative and gave me an idea of using canon lenses. Question: will using the sigma mc-21 work similarly on the Lumix S5 as it does on the S5 II? Also, I remember fitting a Nikon 24-70 f2.8 on a GH5 with a metabones adapter and noticed that the Nikon lens gave me more vibrant colors, crisp and contrasty. I worked with the S5 as well as the GH5 for some time and find the color somewhat flat at times, even though I am shooting in v-log. On the S5 I mostly use the Lumix 35mm f1.8. I wonder if using some of the Canon lenses can give me more vibrant and true colors. I also thought about investing into Atomos Ninja V to be able to shoot in 12-bit Prores raw, but I am not sure if it will give me more vibrant and true colors. In other words, can we get the Lumix S5 to shoot like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqmqaamErNONoJI kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIKsZ2Ssjd15jqs kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2S1l5-Ql9SWa6M Or do you think this is largely in part to choosing proper light conditions, knowing what you are doing and great post production color correction? I have been looking at Sony for a while because with an adapter I could easily slip it into my Canon Quiver, the cost of the cameras that peek my interest has given pause to that move though, this news has me really doubling down on my interest in this camera, I said before this will likely be for Panasonic what the 7D was for Canon. I can see the LUMIX S5II making big waves in the market this year, the footage I am seeing from small Indy run and gun creators with this camera is really fantastic. Having a bag full of glass that I can adapt makes this an even more attractive option than Sony was over Canon's RF line up.

I watched a recorded Panasonic Livestream recently when Sean went through every single menu settings. He described a Micro AF adjustment setting, (which can be lens specific) so maybe this could be worth tweaking for the 16-35 when wide open and tracking the eyes. If the error in focusing on the nose, rather than the eye, is repeating every time it could be worth a tweaking test 👍🏻

I want to keep using my lenses - I know that the Nikon adaptor on the Z mount does not have an AF motor for AFD lenses, but does control the aperture. Now the Panasonic has really changed the landscape with a very competitively prices FF, with great specs. If it can also deal with Nikon lenses (at least G) and offer good MF support it is going to difficult to ignore.
