I personally prefer electric plugged for this kinda work. It kills batteries. Especially the leaf blowers. Makita is still the best choice here

That's why I love makita more it's great tools as others but in my country it costs much less money.

MCT - just finished cutting up some scrap metal using an old Milwaukee 18v The Hatchet Sawzall I've had for about 13yrs. I picked up some new Diablo Steel Demon Bi-Metal blades and they made a world of difference! The old sawzall had to work harder with the old bi-metal Torch blades I started with.

Why not use the HILTI SR 30 A36 and compare the two on even 36V platforms?

This 36v saw costs a lot of money besides the platform is dead so there is no real reason to compare it this test isn't worth buying it, although nobody argue that it's a beast one.

if your testing something do it with the same battery platforms you can't compare a 22v to a 36v

from videos i've seen the metabo recip saw blows both away. makita is releasing another 40v recip saw that is supposed to be superior to prior ones. the current one isn't as good as they hoped.

The Metabo HPT / Hikoki is a beast, no doubt. It’s been around for a while and, correct, the current XGT model is not as powerful (no orbital mode). However, the Makita is heck a powerful enough and, in my opinion, much more ergonomic and easier to wield. The new unit is said to be more beastly than the Hikoki, but I’m guessing it’s actually just on par. We’ll have to wait and see how it holds up in the ergonomics, weight and vibration department.

There's no reason why 22V should come close to or equal to 36V , you clearly have a preference for Hilti over Makita, but congrats on your relative test. 🤗

Voltages don't mean shit for power in modern tools. And that 36v Makita is more for runtime then power anyway

The Best is Milwaukee, Makita 40 v and Flex, Dewalt… I have all of them and I tried in very complicated situations!!! For sure I will not include in my list of future purchasing Hilti:))
