Spruce has lightened in color. He is more blond and gray than when he was born. He was more redish brown. He is sure testing his boundries. I am glad that Herc is protecting him from the other goats.

Goats don’t like rain! They are made of pure sugar… they would melt!! Spruce is made of super fine sugar. He’d melt so fast!! Spruce want to get up on Herc’s head. Then he’ll be the biggest!! We still have some cold nights ahead (30's) so it's more about making sure he's warm, not that we think Herc can't protect him. He'll be with them soon 😉 He's just now almost a month old, we want to give him a little time to get bigger 🙂

Leaving Spruce crying so loud could attract coyotes. He may be okay in the pen on his own when he can see the other goats. You don't want to alert coyotes especially when you are getting chickens.

It's ok for Mario & Luigi to bonk Spruce in play, as long as they are not intentionally trying to hurt Spruce. He's ok. It's also ok for Mario to be with the herd in general, the buck's job is to protect his herd. Herc is the backup.
