Like the fact Mansa Musa valued education. And created the world first college that is still standing till today.

Fun Fact: Mansa Musa was good friends with another great black ruler named Abu al Hasan Ali ibn Uthman of Marinid Morocco. The sultan was nicknamed the Black sultan because his mother was an Ethiopian Christian woman. It is reported by contemporary sources that Mansa Musa and Abu al Hasan used to exchange gifts with each other. "Sultan Mansa Musa maintained friendly relations with the Marinid Sultan, Abu al Hasan, and the two monarchs sent each other gifts through their senior officers. The Maghrebian sultan even prepared a choice of the finest products of his kingdom and entrusted Ali-Ibn-Ghanem, emir of the Mâkil, with the task of bringing this truly royal gift to the sultan of the Blacks. A deputation, made up of the first personages of the empire, accompanied Ibn-Ghanem. The magnificence of this offering was the subject of all conversations, as we will say elsewhere. The successors of these two monarchs inherited the same feelings of mutual benevolence." Pg 114 Tome 2 Ibn Khaldun Histoire des Berbères et des dynasties musulmanes de l'Afrique Septentrionale

Mansa Musa was a toxic and devisive ruler. The Emperor who sprayed all our gold to the competition. The amount of gold that he gave away during his infamous trips was said to have crashed the markets at the time. Furthermore, such huge wealth would've been of much better use to stock up in munitions and weaponry so as to counter the foreign invasions that would follow thereafter.

Looks like he took the money outside Africa. Some African leaders take money out of Africa today also. 🤣🤣🤣

Indeed, and this was due to the foreign extremist ideology that he had knewly adopted. At the beginning of the Emperor reign he was a great ruler, soon as he adopted a foreign extremist ideology, there was a sudden change in priorities. Those new priorities would then come at a huge expense.

In all reality, Mansa Musa was infact one of the worst leaders, apart from the fact that he cost the continent nothing short of $100 billion in gold, he also actively did the bidding of the Arabian fundamentalist warmongers, leading to a massive and vicious campaign In an attempt to Arabianise the continent.

WHY ARE HIS PEOPLE POOR TODAY? 🤣There should be a lot of gold today if they are that rich. Did he take the money outside of Africa and made his people poor?

Being Rich in Natural resources doesn’t translate into financial wealth. Because these regions are exploited by external and internal vectors. U need good leadership to turn natural resources into wealth. Not withstanding the large amount of resources that has been exploited out of the continent for centuries and counting.

@@isthatso1961 You said {Being Rich in Natural resources doesn’t translate into financial wealth...}. I wonder if that matters here. But in this case if they don't have money then they should have gold. So in this case they have a lot of gold even if they don't have money. I don't think it is possible to have a lot of gold and bee poor at the same time. I have never met a person that own lots of gold that is also poor. Have you met a poor person that owned lots of gold?

@@IshaqIbrahim3 WTF are you saying? The African continent is rich in a lot of resources even rare earth elements. Colbalt used in batteries one of the rarest elements, and worlds largest deposit is in DRCongo. Why is it still poor? Even with the immense success of batteries? Just recently Uganda discovered a 31million gold ore deposit. Worth over 10 trillion dollars. Why is Uganda still poor? Don’t be so wilfully ignorant dude. Natural resources are not finished products and the imperial structure of global capitalist economy has been designed to exploit. 🤡
