Nigeria hasn’t done enough in history. This should’ve been thought a long time ago for the sake of National Reconciliation. We are in the era of internet where information spread like wildfires, an era when the politician in Nigeria had become evil geniuses. They will exploit our poor understanding of history to actually instigate another civil war. What was flight before wasn’t civil but rather tribal war 2 against 1 region. This time it will be civil war because the military and the upper echelon won’t be part of it but will ignite the fire of destruction .

The arrest by Ifeajuna was traumatic. It is easy to accuse anyone looking at any other version of the man's death. But then, did Segun Osoba lie about the condition of the body he saw? I personally interviewed Mbu when this controversy broke out in 2010. Mbu told me he spoke based on what Christopher Okigbo told him. Every knowledgeable Nigerian knows Okigbo and Ifeajuna were great friends, and Okigbo had free association with many of the January coup plotters. Sad Ifeajuna's book about the coup never saw light of day; it may unravel many things. I truly wish the coup never took place. May the golden voice continue to rest in peace.

If we want to fully address this problem, we have to first start with honesty. The igbos were the one's who staged the first military coup in Nigeria, which led to a series of multiple successive coups. They killed most if not all of the notable leaders of the other regions especially in the North such as Tafawa Balewa and Sir Ahmadu Bello. Not only that, they later launch a war against the Nigerian government which can be seen as a treason able offense. The igbos lost that war, and due to sentiments from that the igbos are being marginalised politically till this day in Nigeria. Not saying that is right, because that is revisiting the sins of the father on the son. But let's not pretend like the igbos are an innocent party in this. Because if the 1966 coup had succeeded or they igbos had won the biafran war, we would be having a completely different conversation today

Also it’s as a result of the USA and the west invasion of the Middle East since back in 1974 was the reason why terror attacks are happening in the west by those people oppressed from the root.
