Thanks for watching everyone! What do you think of Mario Party Jamboree?

Even if I haven't been able to play it much yet, I've had a great time with Jamboree so far! Even though it definitely has its flaws it does really feel like it's a return to form for the series and I'm really glad to see it. 8 is one of my most loved childhood games and I was always sad that it felt like the last "real" mario party, but it's great to see the series continously get better and recover from its downfall. Koopathlon is fun as hell and the boards seem great! Looking forward to playing this more with my family and trying out the story mode too! Great vid as always and can't wait for the next one!

I really like the Character dice blocks in Super Mario party.
@AstralKatАй бұрын
They originated in Star Rush but same here, its a shame they removed them here in Jamboree

@@AstralKat Ohhh did not know that part, didn't play a lot of Mario Party before. I think they help the characters feel more like themself other than cosmetic. Which can be good or bad.

Agreed, its why Star Rush is one of my favorite Mario Party games, the entire system is based around using allies and their unique dice

@@AstralKat Yeah I just finished the video so it's easy to see why Allies are such a big deal.

It feels like ever since after the Wii U, Mario Party has been slowly becoming more and more down-sized. Beforehand, the problem was sterility (and I would personally argue it WASN'T that big of an issue especially with how quickly Nintendo fixed it in the Switch and with what they did do in place of that sterility), and also focusing too much on standard boards but afterward, I would argue that while they most definitely embraced a much wider net of their previous installments' ideas, but it feels like Nintendo wants to charge its own customers as much money as possible for every single idea they've presented. Like, they WANT to take advantage of us for every idea they've ever made, which. I mean, they probably do, but does anyone else feel like they're outstretching TOO far out of what can be defined as reasonable? I mean, we've had the modern grid based system and path based moving with an incredibly tiny amount of other and unique content, then we've had a retro throwback, and now we have a few bold new ideas with bold new characters that have never BEEN in a Mario Party game before, making this game quite exclusive in that regard. They have expected to charge us full price for content that can only be defined as "fun for a little bit, but gets stale, repetitive." It starts to feel very small in scale after a while, like "you've done everything you could" and it would just scream that the devs should've put in more or something to justify charging full price for a game like they have created. But if they've done a good job with this game (and I hope they have) then I guess I could give it a chance someday.

I think this is the first mario party game that has enough content to avoid the pitfall of getting stale after a while, the three major modes that it shows off (Main mario party, Bowsers Kaboom Squad, Koopathalon) are so laser focused on making a genuinely good multiplayer experience that the game will last a long time, I played this game day of release by myself because the people I planned to play it with didnt get it till a couple days after, and it was a good time, but the moment I got even 2 other people playing it with me it was the most fun multiplayer experience ive gotten from nintendo in years. It'll definitely get stale if I keep playing it on my own with CPUs, but the ease of connecting to a large group via wifi also makes it a lot easier to actually enjoy this game as you're either co-operating with or playing against a bunch of unpredictable people who will keep the experience fresh
