I disagree that you should consider attraction in marriage. It shouldnt be the only thing to look for but it should be one of the factors..If you are not attracted to your spouse, that paves the way for infidelity. Of course marry a practicing muslim but you should like who you marry. There are many many unhappy marriages I can think of when attraction was not even considered in choosing the spouse. Im probably gonna get slammed for this but this is my 2 cents.

The Wisdom of Allah is so remarkable. I recently learned something about brain chemicals that creates love and bonding between people, which completely proves the things Allah is saying. The more you invest in someone or something, the more oxytocin that gets released in the brain, which creates love and compassion. Simply seeking pleasure releases dopamine, which over time creates desensitivity and boredom. Which is why Allah is saying to not seek your wife for pleasure, but to give. Because this is what builds real love between husband and wife... Subhan’Allah

unhappy marriage > committing zina , as a young single man I do want and will marry for "hormonal" reasons. as for not been happy, happiness comes from self. I know that no women ( no Girlfriend, no wife and not even a prostitute ) can make you happy only you can be happy that is why the prophet pbuh told the young men to get married early if they have the dowry ( I know todays dowry is a bit expensive but that's the price of todays women for marriage, if you want to marry deal it with ...) if they don't have the monaaah then they should fast. happiness is a luxury not everyone is entitled for.

How about if one wants to get married primitively because its Sunnah and also because you don't want to fall into something haram!
@bla7bla7bla74
@bla7bla7bla74 10 жыл бұрын
That's a good reason to get married, in fact that's why we are encouraged to get married young. However, I think that Nouman's message is to understand the reality of marriage. Understand that marriage isn't just sunshine and happiness and passion, but it comes with responsibility and obligations and we need to have mature mindsets when going into marriage so we understand what we are getting into.
@cricketkajunoon
@cricketkajunoon 10 жыл бұрын
Thanks brother. Your answer is much appreciated. I know that It's about responsibility and appreciation and trust and I understand it very well Alhumdulillah. I may not be settled financially but I sure am a responsible person. With my raging hormones day by day and western society is making it even harder for me to stay firm on my eman, and this is why I also want to be married. Is that a legit reason for it?
@bla7bla7bla74
@bla7bla7bla74 10 жыл бұрын
Hahah, actually it's sister, but no problem. Actually I remember seeing Brother Nouman giving a speech at a conference on which he talks about marriage, it was a very good talk mashallah, you should check it out. Search up "The Jahaliyya of Matrimonials" on youtube and it's the first video that appears. That video will probably give much better advice than I could ever give as he actually says that he was once in a similar situation as you (and he did get married at that time because his wife's parents were sure of his iman). May Allah guide you.
@cricketkajunoon
@cricketkajunoon 10 жыл бұрын
AY Hagar Sorry for the confusion sister. I never expected a response from a sister on such issue. Your first name is initialed that's why I assumed that the person is a brother. Anyway, I watched that video on your recommendation and was very beneficial though it didn't answer what am I trying to ask. In his another video, NAK said that youth who want to get married because of their hormones most likely will have a devastating marriage life. Yes, I understand that marriage isn't just about being intimate but has to do with loving each by heart along with other obligations you mentioned. What am I confused about is that does it apply on my as well because I want to get married because of my hormones? Is it still a legitimate reason to wish for marriage? I am engaged alhumdulillah and doesn't seem to be getting married soon but I will In-sha-Allah eventually. But living in USA where shameless is available and accessible easily making my life even hard, if you know what am I trying to say? I just feel embarrass all the time when I think about marriage because I think of it as being intimate with my wife not as just the blessings from ALLAH subhanahutala. Or do all guys think such way? Yes, part of it is completing the half deen which is Sunnah but its bothers me a lot when I think of marriage not the way I should be. If you or anyone else can help me with the situation I am going through, may Allah give you reward for that In-sha-Allah. Jazakillahu Khyran
@bla7bla7bla74
@bla7bla7bla74 10 жыл бұрын
Sorry for not answering your question properly. Please take whatever I say cautiously though because I'm not the most knowledgable person on this subject. The way I understand it and how I've heard it from many talks and such, it's okay to marry because your hormones are raging. That is why the the Prophet (peace be upon him) says to get married early, it allows us to not fall into the haram. However, on the other hand what many sheikhs advise against is to marry SOLEY because your hormones are raging. You need to be a man of good iman and character because Allah subhanautala promises in the Qur'an that good women are for good men and vice versa, while bad women are for bad men. Now if you've got the iman issue settled, then what are you worrying about brother? If you have heard that marriage is not only about intimate relations with your wife all you need to do is remind yourself that marriage won't be easy and of the other aspects of it. Don't beat yourself up for not understanding since you aren't married yet and don't have experience. Even I'm not married yet and I have absolutely no idea what I will be going through, all the knowledge I have is secondhand information. I would suggest talking to a sheikh at the local masjid and anyone you know who is married (friends, close relatives, etc.) and ask them about the realities of marriage and if you have the right mindset. Alhamdullilah on your enagagement and may Allah guide you.

She should practice to give love to husband.
@saninakakana6931
@saninakakana6931 2 жыл бұрын
A woman that doesn't love her husband isn't commiting a sin. It's recommended that she does love him, and she should before marrying him. But if she falls out of love with him, it's better for her to remain patient with him and pray that Allah instills his love in her heart, for Allah prefers for the marriage union to remain intact. One of the ways through which marriage remains intact is if both spouses remain in love with each other even if it isn't as strong as it was originally. A loveless marriage can easily spiral towards divorce, which is generally disliked except in some cases such as abuse, major sin and disbelief. May Allah protect our halal relationships. Amin.

I really do prefer dating over marriage for several reasons I can go with anyone I want, having with my own lover kissing each other, sleeping with each other........... otherwise in marriage I'm so limited I can't do all of this with my lover ( and certainly in Islam ) and I can go to jail, or we can double cross ( breakups ) each other, or fight............. so I don't want to get into trouble and in another hand in dating I can go and chose every person I want to and if I breakup with my cruch I can find another one and love someone else beside it's fun and better trust me I rather stay alone than marry and gets into trouble so what you guys think if I'm wrong correct me please thank you for reading
