Practical Islam What exactly does ISNA do as an organization ??? As a Muslim growing up in the US for over 20 years...I find it hard to find any personal impact ISNA has provided for me. I think the problem resides within the lack of traditional scholarship ISNA'S board consists of. We need a team of leaders with refined souls to lead the Muslims of America. And i dont really see that with ISNA. Most people on the board try to comform with American values whilst leaving Islamic values. We are facing an identity chrisis as Muslims living in America...and ISNA is confusing the identities of many American Muslims. Id argue ICNA is doing much better work than ISNA is with a smaller team and following. What are your thoughts!??! JazakAllah Khairan

Brief notes: Allah says Get the unmarried among them married. - talking mostly about women. - Allah is highlighting divorced women first - preference is given to them - Who does it apply to? Usually, parents put age constrictions/conditions for marriage - The person should be Saliheen (good with Allah), of age - Not having money is not that big of a problem How do we make marriage easy? - Shaytaan's work - make halal hard, make haram easy - What parents do - oppress/supress - Make it hard for children to get married - Trying to pretend the world is the way it was back then. Parents need to adapt to the world as it is now - If a girl says I don't like him, that's it. You can't force her. She doesn't even have to give a reason. - don't force your young girls into rebelion (Quran) - don't force children into marriage - If a young woman/man is old enough to get married, they're old enough to make their own choices - To men - hold on as best as you can. Try your best to stay away from haram. - Take the halal option the first moment you get the opportunity - Connections form when families come to the masaajid. - There are legitimate ways of getting people to know each other - Allow young people to meet in a dignified fashion, with the knowledge of the family - only marriage preceding marriage talked about in the Qur'an is about Musa (a.s) - homeless, fugitive, Israelite - ends up in Arab tribe. Helped some girls.. one of the girls tells the father she's interested in him. Father says yes. 1) Girl was interested 2)He was strong 3)Trustworthy, carried himself with dignity. - We have to be open and allow children to get married more easily I didn't get all the info, sorry - I'm watching this on my phone. And I also apologize for any mistakes . You can contribute to the notes if you want InshaAllah :) Jazakum Allahu Khayran

Where men only want to marry virgins, when they themselves are not, only brings ruin: " Good women are for good men, and good men for good women". Islam has been infiltrated by the desires of men, not Allah. These are the last days. I was 30 years old, divorce with 3 children. I was considered a charity case that no one wanted. So, I went to college. Earned a scholarship to U.S.C., got an excellent job with the city of Los Angeles making good money and benefits. Worked for 28 years and now retired Alhamdulillah, free and happy. I have retirement for the rest of my life. Happy for ever Alhamdulillah.

You are a believer! Probably one of the 144,000 or I could be wrong. You'll be fine so long as you don't worship Jesus as God. And, I strongly urge you to read the Quran, for it is also God's words. You will know what was there before God created Adam, the jinns, and other interesting stories you will only know in Quran. And after having read the whole book, and you still want to remain a Christian, so be it. But I doubt you will and if you are someone who truly hears the words of God and is born of spirit. You will know that Quran is the Last Book of God and after Muhammad, no more prophets will be sent down. And btw, whenever you find yourself worshipping Jesus as God or ascribing him as equal or partner to God, read the 1st and 2nd commandment.

Marriage is part of Allah's Qadr, it's predestined.. If unmarried there's no reason to worry or feel distress, these are tools of shaytaan which make one feel down, begin to blame, feel desperate and engage in impermissable actions. Keep your duty to Allah, guard yourself, don't take on bf/gf or communicate online to opposite sex.. if you're pure, Allah will find you a pure spouse, think good of Allah SWT, and place your trust in Him. Don't go into marriage seeking your rights, whilst it's okay to be aware of them, place more attention on your responsibilites and seek to improve yourself.

They should allow you to marry while you pursue degree. If you and your husband have children. What is wrong with the grandparents raising them until you both are able to financially support them. In china and africa children are raised by grandma aunties and extended families. Most important marriage gives you the legal permission to cohabitate in the eyes of Allah. Thats it. Its a license.

I am happy and so is all my house and this is the best thing happened to me in life. I however had to take a firm stand. faced a lot of pressure and criticism but in the end all went my way ALHAMDULILLAH. so go for it mate and yeah make sure you never let your wife feel you went out of the way and did this for her. you do it so you get jannah IN SHA ALLAH.

Wallahi you are the best one , Our kashmiri islamic scholars are only propagating wrong message about nikkah, they are spreading Hindu culture here by saying parents will decide choice in marriages, which is so sad. Islam gives children's right to choose, and parents duty of supervision / investigation only. But unfortunately in Kashmir right to choose is in the hands of parents. These types of lectures is needed ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I m turning 29 on 6 Dec 2017, and recently i got a good job in government sector but my mother is not ready to get me married because she want a doctor bride for me. (In Punjab, Pakistan mothers are crazy for doctor brides). And this will delay my marriage for at least 3 to 4 years. I said to my mom clearly that i want to get married to any suitable girl. Even my Father wanted me to marry but due to "" Women rights"" and "" democarcy "" mothers dominate everywhere. Bcz mothers have more votes than fathers in most homes. I m very much religious and trying to be pious but enough is engouh yaar....plus i have no confidence to propose any girl. This Fitna of late marriage should end soon.

So sad people value tradition over fear of Allah. The Quran show that people rejected Islam because of tradition. They said because that is what they saw their fathers and anecestors worshiping false gods...so they refuse to upgrade.

I am sorry to hear this SubhanaAllah, titles "Dr" actually will be stressful I see a lot of them divorced. I was engaged to a surgeon subhanaAllah glad never married him all I am seeking is for a Good Muslim man that I will benefit now and here after. A religious man will recite for me and will be away from haram. Brother seek for a wife that is strong in Islam you will be more happier.

Its been three years since i had made that desperate comment and i am still unmaried. They are looking for a girl but with very slow progress. There is an unannounced ban on marriages in Pakistan. So many hurdles; Caste, sect, financial status, age, look and what not. May Allah have mercy on all of us!

@@TajamalGhumman Do you live in pakistan? May Allah make it easier for you. I live with the pakistani community and they are very strict in who their sons and especially daughters marry. I knew this pakistani guy who fell in love with a practicing latina sister and wanted to marry her. His mother flipped out and completely rejected the girl. Allah will reward you tremendously for your patience. Trust me brother the rewards you have accumulated for being patient while unmarried is so many. Make Allah make it easier for you. Have you tried to look for a Pakistani? Dont you think she will be more compatible with you in terms of culture and language?

Super valid points, I’m 22(m), trying to follow Allah’s way. I’m going to keep praying for a righteous spouse nonetheless, and creating myself into the ideal husband but this generation is hopeless, period. Too many career driven chasing dunya type people. Money is important but will not follow you into the Qabr, nor does a degree, nor does your job. You could die tomorrow and have nothing to show for Allah, always remember that. Ya Allah have mercy on us all, ease this hardship, make the Nikah easier for us all. Ameen 😪

Ustadh always speaking from the bottom of his heart and with the right knowlegde..on the other hand 20y me has way too high standards for this... Our generation is just something else man..I feel like our generation is just starting to deny the sunnah of the best human being to ever face the earth (Muhammad s.a.v.s)
