@Sharkgobrrrrwhile I don’t doubt that we will get some sort of Talon assassin melee dps hero, I don’t think it will be the next hero as the devs have said they want to release two tanks and two supports for every dps and since the last dps (Venture), we’ve gotten one support (Juno) and one tank (Hazard), so we’ll probably get a tank or support the latter of which Max would be fitting for

I still hope he'll be the new hero, he seems like such an interesting and charismatic character that would fit right in, even in OV1. While, excluding the 3 new heroes at realise, we've had some very cool additions since the release of Overwatch 2, I think Maximilien could be one of the most interesting characters, at the level of Rammatra.

I’d love if Max had an ability like ultrakill’s marksman revolver where he shoots a coin in the air and when you shoot the coin it deals extra damage to the enemy, but i feel like it would need a very long cooldown and some extra gimmicks considering overwatch is a multiplayer game

No way that was part of exactly my idea for him. Though my idea was for him as a support, focused around summoning Talon minions and healing teammates through walls with a shared "income" meter that's filled up by doing damage, balanced by him having low health, mobility, and raw healing.

when i made a kit for him a few months ago i had the same idea except the inverse, it heals allies and is just healing version of dynamite. Literally throwing money at the problem as a part of his kit. Two charges of this coin too since it'd be his primary way of healing.

I believe that there could be more than it seems. If Maximiliem would become the next hero that could be something but rather than that he might be in contact with the character that is going to become hero 43. Even without new Story-Missions I think they build up on that for example there is an interaction where Reinhardts talks with Orisa about how she fought back Null Sector which happend in her Short-Story so the Null Sector invasion is still happening and as seen in the animated short "A Great Day" Talon is active and reacting to Null Sector. So what if DF ordered Maximiliem to call someone to cash in some old favor who is going to be working for Talon?

I don't think so. If they decide to Max summon hanchmen in combat. Because Max is not a combat Omnic. But probably next hero gonna be connected Max and Talon. Maybe one of the Talon assassin's to sent Max, which send the word about his deal to Akande?

I personally think it might be... i listened to that story and it didnt give much away what Max could be like as a playable hero apart from being business savy and all. Although it does indicate, all that could be tied with his gameplay. Who knows. I think Max has been one of those characters since storm rising where ive wanted him in game and many others. I do think however, blizzard wouldnt go this far with the voice etc if it werent a possibility... Lets see eh

I don't think he will ever be a playable character, unless his whole kit revolves around a drone or robot he controls remotely from the safety of the spawn room, which would be kinda easy to implement because they can make the kit whatever they want. It would be basically a random character but with max's voice. It would fit him well too, because he is clearly not one to get directly involved in battles.

If he does become a hero, i’m wishing his kit is just something stupid that revolves around him just being a normal omnic who’s just really rich. I want him to be a support that has like 1 hp while the rest is 299 shield points. Then he’ll have something like a money gauge that is refilled slow passively, but he can also loot money from defeated heroes. Then he uses the money for his abilities and ultimate. One will be just him replenishing his armor using some money. Another is like zen + mercy where he upgrades a teammates weapon and any kills they get increase the loot taken off dead bodies. Then his ult could just be some roulette type of mechanic where every teammate has a random buff that is granted to them.

If max became a character I know exactly what I'd do with him. He'd be a summoner class of hero. Max would be a support but also be flexible in playstyle His primary weapon is a handgun, similar in design to a deagle but maybe smaller. His alt fire tosses a coin in the air, and if shot, it richocets the bullet at the nearest enemy. Each bullet fired at the coin before it hits the ground increases the damage dealt. His primary kit would be his "hired guards" allowing him to use his passively earned coin to buy a short lived bodyguard. These include a shield guard, offering a stationary shield. A hitman, offering added backside damage to the nearest target. And the medic, a healing omnic that gives health within a radius around it, similar to soldiers can, but bigger. His other ability would be a Max of 2 drones that can be sent to teammates to heal them for about 3 seconds before they return to Max for their cool downs

My insider told me it's a human male dps hero from Greece is the next hero coming, or at least it's the one most complete atm. That's all I know other than an omnic dps being in the works, probably a year or two away. I doubt it would be Max though.

To be fair we’ll get to see the 43rd hero next season for the play test if they even decide to keep doing it for this year of overwatch, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that they would already be teasing max as a playable hero. We don’t know if they’re tank dps or support. Personally I wouldn’t mind if he does become a playable character. I always was against it because it’s not in his character to be apart of the fight, he funds the fighting in a way for talon. But if he was gonna be a playable character, the only role that fits him is support. We’ll just have to wait untill the season begins on February the 18th

I feel like he would be a support. And a support that only rewards if the team is playing well. For example, DPS or any team members that been killing or supporting their team players will get some sort of reward from him. OR if overwatch feel a little frisky. Max can be a unique support where he can modify your weapons. Not a power boosts but a literal Mod shop as his ultimate. AKA like a certain character from a certain game that can open up the black market.

I love Max, he's definitely one of my favorite characters in the ow universe, toe to toe with sigma, df and rein. But i would actually not like him to be a character. I just feel like he works really well as a lore side character, and he, as a business man who very much doesn't get involved in the action, doesn't need to be more than that. Hoping that this is a Sanjay teaser cuz we've been waiting for anything on him for a long time since he was with max, df, reaper and moira in moira's origin story

We all know Maximilian wasnt in the game ever since The last archive mission storm rising in overwatch 1 so what if overwatch finally starting to use the only thing that can beat marvel rivals dommince And it overwatch lore. they already rehired one of the PVE Devs and made him a senior level Designer Joger Murillo's back and we all know that they wont do it unless they wanted to try something. This is there only chance to finally beat Marvel rivals and lest be honest I don't like marvel rivals and it not that great and honestly I hate it being dommince So my Theory is overwatch gonna bring back the Archives mission in season 15 and if it gonna be a huge success (which we all know will) they might try to bring back the PVE one more time And if it will work than I can assure you Overwatch will once again dommiant the whole Hero Shooter Insdtury

I don't think they are being teased tbh they may just be desperate as HELL for money and something new that doesn't take much effort, but I'll say it again as I have on other platforms, we can make him a hero just like Junker Queen who wasnt going to be originally anything more than lore for the junker town map. Hype turned her into one of the best tanks and imo gave us the best animated short from overwatch we've ever had. Except maybe the rein one. The more we hope he's a new hero and make that loud and clear to the ow team, the more likely he really might be added.

I don't think Maximillien is going to ever be a hero because that just doesn't fit his character. He's more of a power-behind-the-curtain kind of man, not one to get his hands dirty on a battlefield. However, I also thought the entire concept of Overwatch 2 was dumb and Blizzard wouldn't do it, yet here we are

Honestly you can make him an resourced based support, where he has an money bar similar to torbs old scrapbar with an cap of 200, where its an passive that Slowey refils and he can fill it up faster by picking up money from dead allies and enemys And he can use that money to Throw down medium healthpacks, maybe armor for 50 or maybe even an temporary bodygaurd for 100 that acts like an turret, while I'm not sure on the exacts, i think the resource based support idea is perfect for max since he's an financer which mean he handles money, so his gameplay where hes managing his money bar and deciding what the team currently needs right now fits really well, and hes an support which mean he isnt exactly doing the fighting which also fits with his charater
