Dylan! I would love to join, but I've been battling Cancer now for 3 years now and I'm really been financially drained, I watch you as much as I can, I've been playing about 52 years now, if I beat this Cancer, I would appreciate talking to you about getting a pair of custom built P90's for one of my SG's.

Mesa/Boogie is far from doomed if they start re-issuing the classics like the Boogie Mark I etc and make them more widely available.

I have a Cutless HSS CT50. What I don't like about it is how the trem makes a clunk when released. It's set as synchronous. Do I need to release the claw a bit, or remove a spring? As for Fender's CPO program, I think it's just a way for Fender to put some $$ in their pocket by way of selling used instruments.

I just want them to bring back the Lonestar line!

On the Mesa Boogie thing and the "firing" of Randall Smith. The reason people are complaining is not that they let Smith go, its that they had "an agreement" to keep him on for X amount of time and didn't. Thing is I've worked at a couple of companies that have been sold and this always happens. The "verbal agreement" with the buyers is always "we'll keep the CEO and maybe some other senior people on for X amount of time to ease the transition" and then the Monday after the agreement is inked, those guys show up to their offices and security is there with cardboard boxes and a severance check. Its not personal, its not an insult, and its not Gibson being any more jerks than any other corp. This is just how things are done.

If this is correct, it is both dishonest and underhanded. The older I get, the more insistent I am in getting written contracts. They are your ace in the hole when someone veers from what was agreed upon. Anyway, Randall is an icon regardless of what happened.

@@schlep4730 Yep, its dishonest and underhanded. Its also common and not something people are supposed to take personally ("It's just business." -Vito Corleone).

People just want something to complain about Gibson for. Without them Mesa may not be moving on. Smith said three years ago he was going to retire.

Warranty for more than 30 days / 1 year, etc... how about the neck ? Pots and such are easily and inexpensively related, a neck, no so much... now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not certain what the current warranty standard is for a neck.

The Joyo Bantamp series rules. At least the MeteOR I have is. Sounds better than the real Orange. 2 Channels and bluetooth. Or just get a Bugera Power Soak PS-1. And don't buy a second amp at all. Love the Joyo wireless system too. $30 and work fantastic. Go anywhere you want in the house using your great amp and at a low volume with the PS-1.

I think the fender cpo program is a scam. I don't think they're pre-owned, they appear to be returned product that fender can't turn around and sell as new again
@charlesbolton84712 ай бұрын
Well, if Fender sold them to an individual and that individual returned them to Fender for whatever reason those instruments ARE pre-owned. Edit: For what it’s worth, Fender did something similar around 2017/2018 with their Reverb shop selling “certified vintage” Fenders. It didn’t last very long and Fender wasn’t buying vintage guitars to resell them. They were only selling off some that they had acquired years earlier which the Fender Custom Shop used as the basis for some of their reissue models.

With Randy gone, Gibson will continue to move out Mesa people. You can't expect Gibson to make good decisions anymore. They've proven that.
