This just wouldn't really work that well for Meta anyway. Bot impressions aren't going to lead to sales. Therefore, companies ROI for Facebook would drop, and they would start spending less money advertising there.
@Golledaman14 күн бұрын
The bots dont have browsers like humans do. The bots will instead be reading and posting via some internal API service, keeping them out of the normal traffic flow and therefore not getting any ads. It is much easier for a bot to fetch and create posts directly on the database than scrape the facebook webpage via a browser.

Facebook was for my social circle. However, they saw success they had with engagement baiting, showing things of 'interest', and lost it's identity. It was better back in they day because it was easier than sharing a photo across many texts. Now it harder to use than it's worth. Now with Ai profiles. It's over. I'll just call my real grandma.

If you're confused why Facebook a dying platform would do something so incredibly antiuser it actually turns out to be pretty well in line with their business plan. Facebook is not a social media platform its a user analytics gathering platform and their MO has always been to open up these tools and let other parties figure out how to create value out of the data. They want bots that can act just like other users because it gives a test bed on their platform to develop AI bots users will engage with unknowingly and they get high quality data on what works for engagement. The product is THIS data.

Advertiser: "How are we supposed to know how many of our views and clicks come from bots or real people?" Tech companies: "Oh, well, that's a LOT of data! And it takes a LOT of effort to sift through that data. So we obviously can't possibly sift through ALL the data that we're generating AND keep reliable track of it at the same time! So.....if you pay us money we can prioritise who geta their data sorted first." Advertiser: "How do I know if the data I pay for is accurate?" Tech Companies: "oh, we know.
