Straight up. this video is pure facts from start to finish and hard to disagree with anything. Coming from someone who is a fan of misfits, and doesn't know anything about the direction or general thought process behind the misfits event, Yes the event was a major let down, but things like this will happen eventually, it's a way of misfits LEARNING what works, WHO works and what precautions can be made to avoid it in the future. The main events being 'gimmick fights' outside of traditional boxing is really entertaining, and have always hit and got people talking about it whether positively or negatively, and it's ALWAYS packed the crowds and pay per views because people are intrigued!! Risks are worth it in the end, even if it means one event becomes a dud because of it, it's about pushing through that, learning about what went wrong. How to stop it, then building upon it and improving for next time. Love this video, was really informative and a great alternative perspective to what I see predominantly online

I really appreciate misfits swinging big in front of our eyes. I think utilizing small influencers with interesting formats is a good way for misfits to find success in shows while keeping costs down by not having to have the big stars

I honestly think that Misfits needs to go back to basics. What made Influencer Boxing so special was taking guys who had massive online followings and putting them in the ring, which made people tune in to find out if their favorite influencer actually has hands. Nobody tunes into fights to watch guys from Twitterspaces fight. People tune in to either see their favorite gamer/musican/actor/etc fight or to see guys who take the sport seriously actually grow as Boxers (such as the guys in the Lightweight tournament). Misfits should only allow fighters who take the sport seriously to actually fight, with exceptions to that rule being massive imfluencers that have fans that will tune in to watch Misfits.

@AshTalkSport Allowing Vitaly to fight was a fine decision considering his massive following. But nobody really knew who Modeen was, and both guys clearly didn't take the fight seriously with the fight itself being terrible and Vitaly refusing to do a drug test. That's a one strike and you're out sort of scenario

Misfits need stop putting smaller creators into misfits now

I think the smaller creators should be part of separate feeder league. Get fights and experience to build you up for the main show. Like NXT leads to WWE.

What kind of pay off do you get from taking the risk? Even if MostWanted turned up, would it have been better than Yuddy/Cracra or Joey/Hulk? Keep them on the mid card or prelims as a compliment to the skilful fighters.

The pay off you get is launching a star. If fox had looked amazing and gone viral then there’s a chance they get to make a huge name who’s loyal to misfits and has been a part since the start!

a few things i’ve realised over the past few months of misfits events is that 1) promo actually is important. people in this space would always say that and i always brushed it off bc i’ve been watching influencer boxing for years and at this point i just watch them bc it’s what i do and i enjoy it, but then when we get snippets of trash talk, promo, im like: oh wait this is actually hype 😭 like i go from watching bc that’s just what i do, to watching bc there’s actually some entertainment here. and 2) i realised just this last weekend that, when the fighters walk out and people in the crowd clap for them, that also makes me excited. i wish the people who went to the events irl had more of a connection to the fighters and that we saw more clapping, booing, whatever it is lmao that’s more of an external thing and the fighters can’t control who comes to watch them but yeah. those r just my two realisations/takeaways.

Misfits for now need to stop taking on small creators from now until they really prove it and if they wanna continue with tag team and outnumbered match don’t make it main event and new small creators that do come on put them on prelims. Like majority of the 013 card fighters were more main event worthy then the outnumbered match.

Im not gonna lie. Misfits is Milking influencer boxing. Nobody wants Tag team, Survivor tag or a handycap match lol the ONLY exception is Mystery opponents… I love misfits for having consistent events but It seems like they are beating a dead horse when they bring back people like Ginty and do these survivor tags and tag team i would just rather save those resources and just pay bigger names more money for a better viewing experience. Stop paying these small inexpensive guys peanuts just for the sole purpose of having a show. Lets just Give Gib the money he wants and set some high quality fights up. If you pay a crackhead 20 dollars to put a alternator in your car yea they MAY be able to do it but don’t be mad if they never show up or If your car doesn’t start anymore🤷🏾‍♂️ Sometimes you have to spend that money and get quality work.. misfits is pushing the people away by making these half ass events. The last event Really made me upset because i feel like i wasted my whole Saturday night lol
