I feel like there's so much people saying he's boring because his audience mainly consist of people who watch Influencer Boxing and know Viddal as KSI's trainer. Those fans don't understand that Pro-Boxing is way different to Influencer Boxing. If you try to be entertaining over being defensively responsible against professionals, you're going to sleep.

Even in influencer boxing I’d love to be able to do what he does
@shakes.dontknowwhatyergettin6 ай бұрын
That's the opposite of the truth. The only people who loved that dismal fight were youtube influencer fans, and every impartial boxing fan wanted to kill themselves. One boring fight doesn't make a boring fighter, but it WAS a boring fight, for everyone who wasn't personally invested in Viddal Riley.

@@shakes.dontknowwhatyergettin If you're an elitist and only watch world title fights and whatnot, then I guess the fight would be boring to you. But if you have an appreciation for the sport as a science, then you'd appreciate the stuff that Viddal was doing in the ring.

Great break down of the fight! Viddal will be a world champion if he keeps putting in performances like this, he made the ex British champion look poor because of his movement and ring IQ. Truly a pleasure to watch him rise through the ranks and to top it off he seems like a humble guy. I hope he stays this way when he's at the top because the guys a great role model for up and coming fighters.

Viddal boxed lawal's head off with a broken freaking rib also i'm an influencer boxing fan first and i appreciate it and expected viddal to win via boxing Masterclass didn't expect him to do just that with a rib injury Also funny how the boxing purists on the commentary and on the broadcast were criticizing viddal for doing exactly what he supposed to do they're as fickle as they comm

Lawal fractured Viddals rib in round 1. To go 9 additional rounds with a fractured rib is crazy, breathing is painful af. Yet he still outboxed Lawal.

I think Wade said it best. If you don’t like Vidal your not a fan of the sweet since you don’t like boxing. You like brawls and knockouts which is totally fine but I’m not trying to sound like a pretentious doucebag watching just technical boxing is so awesome to me. But I love brawls and knockouts just as much as the next guy I think people who got introduced to boxing through the crossover seen just like brawls. But idk I’m gonna go sniff some Prozac rn.

The fight wasnt as intense because viddal knew sitting and trading blows was too risky. The guy couldn't move and throw like Viddal so it was an easy game play to execute for his amazing footwork. Not entertaining to watch, but not a defining moment for his boxing skill when he's able to sit on punches without nearly the risk.

KZbinr fans in the comments persuading each other that "real boxing fans" didn't find that boring. Yeah, they did, and ONLY people who are invested in Viddal Riley thought otherwise. There were some rounds where there was barely a single scoring shot, while Viddal jogged around in circles - that is not high quality technical boxing beloved by the purists. I mean, if you have a slow footed heavy handed fighter against a technical outside fighter, that can happen, and one boring fight doesn't make a boring fighter - but that particular fight WAS boring, and he was excessively cautious.
