Is Mixergy the Smartest Hot Water tank in the UK?

We got our fitted last October and we've not looked back. £2.00 to do all our hot water last month (June). We love the control, it's also an educational tool with our kids on water waste/use.

@@DivingDeveloper no, a solar diverter. I'm still unsure on a heat pump. The maths doesn't add up like solar.

Can I ask how you heat your hot water (other than the solar diverter)? We have solar, and powerwall - but also have our legacy combi boiler (LPG) and no hot water cylinder.

.good video. But I would have to see the thesis study to understand how this actually works. The best I can understand at the moment is that it is basically like a Tankless Water heater, so it only heats when needed. But then I’m not sure what the rest of the tank is for, other than maybe solar storage? And so then why don’t I just buy a Tankless Water heater and a solar water tank and just hook them up? It’s a little more complicated I know, but this fancy heater can’t be cheap, so I fail to see the value proposition. It might be there, but I didn’t get it from the video. At least need to link to the thesis that designed it. Thanks!

@mixergy daisy chain? does this mean I could put two small tanks at different ends of my large house and solve the problem of long pipe runs?

I tried to get a hot water fitted but not one would give ,a price and also you need to get a water softener fitted and there is a monthly charge for the monitor of the tank

I get that this is probably better than a normal stratification hot water cylinder but to say "the hot water dilutes" isn't entirely true about most cylinders these days.
