Heartbreaking to see this form of 'covenant theology' coming from good men from Apologia Studious. Absolutely love 90% of their videos which is saturated with God's word. But sadly this one isn't. It's more saturated with sin. When David, being declared king by God and a Jew, having a full right to kill Saul, didn't dare harm him even when he was in the wrong because He was God's annointed, how much more so you? Do you not realize that to curse God's own is to be cursed yourself? Do you not fear God brother Jeff? Do you not know that a Christian ought to have a positive disposition towards Israel? It is indeed clear that most of us (if not all), rejected Jesus at some point in our lives as we were naturally in enmity with God. So a better summary would then be: "nobody is a chosen person apart from faith in The Lord Jesus Christ as Savior." Now, I say "partially" corrected because the pervasive reference to "the nation of Israel" in modern evangelical circles rests on its connection with the flesh, which runs, as shown in the video, contrary to what Jesus and Paul clearly taught in Matthew 3:9 and Romans 2:27-29, 9:3-5. If Paul believed they could be saved notwithstanding their continual rejection till the time of their death, it would not make sense for him to wish to be "cursed for the sake of his brothers, [his] own flesh and blood". Therefore, there is absolutely no salvation granted to anyone, carnal Jew nor gentile, outside of the acceptance of the atoning sacrifice of our Savior on the cross for our sins.

If you equate that passage with the salvation of the souls of ALL individual members of the fleshly Israel, you believe that: either Paul had not read it, or that there is salvation outside of faith in Jesus, or both.

Hi, I guess it would be hard to accept it from me, because I’m a jew myself, and a believer, but I think something very important is missing… Israel is the chosen nation! Not because they are perfect, nor because they are special, but because that is the first and the biggest proof of God’s sovereignty and that He chooses differently, not like men would! We have many examples of that, and by reading the Old Testament you can clearly see that although Israel has disappointed God and sinned against Him, God never let them go, but by punishing and teaching them He was walking them in a certain path. Paul says that their blindness is for a reason - for the mercy to come to the gentiles, but the Gospel that went from Israel would eventually come back to Israel! I think that this thinking would just lead us to a self centred life, when we don’t see God’s plan even on those who don’t confess yet His Son as their Saviour! Look at all the nations, everyone of them had a certain period of massive conversation to God! Look at the US, with so much believers! I don’t say they all are perfect, but they believe in the Son of God! There never been such a thing in Israel. Never was something like that. But actually the opposite, as you can see the antisemitism along the history. So let me assure you - if a revival didn’t happen , it probably didn’t come yet!

The Fig Tree would no longer be dead like in 70 AD but the LORD would reverse the curse. The Judgment came in 32/33 AD when Jesus cursed the Fig Tree (fulfilled in 70-135AD). we all agree on this, except Jesus proclaimed the Judgment in Mark 11 in 32/33AD. So 2 days later is 2000 years later 2032/2033AD -2070AD. For the Fig Tree to bloom again. The point is there is a plan and the fact that there is one shows us that even if we stray from the LORD, HE will always bring us back. There's a prophecy in Ezekiel 4 that showed us Israel would be reborn in 1948. 2500+ years after it was predicted. The problem with Christians today is that they are so ignorant of Israel that they can't see the satanic religion of Hamas, Iran and its proxies that have vowed to destroy Israel. The LORD will save Israel and the Jews, just like us Gentiles, not because we deserve it but because He Wills it. And when we enter eternity then His plan will be complete. Just because the nation of Israel is in a state of unbelief now, does not mean that God has not chosen them and He will fulfill specific promises that He made to them as a nation. I wish they had kept reading in Romans until they got to chapter 11 where Paul asks the question, "I say then, has God cast away His people? God forbid!" God himself calls Israel "His people" in Romans 11:1-2. This does not mean that all "His people" are saved, but only that He has chosen them for a specific purpose as discussed in Romans 9. Chapter 11 explains that although Israel is rejecting Christ right now, eventually all Israel will be saved (v.26-27) but right now they are enemies of the gospel (v.28).

Thank you, Jeff, for addressing this important topic; I admire your courage. The phrase “God's Chosen people “ is being misinterpreted and used to subjugate and abuse people. God is righteous and can not discriminate against anyone; anyone who is fulfilling God's wishes is the chosen one. Although I am from different Christian denominations and have different views, I still like some of your teachings. Nowadays, many teachers are afraid of being named and labelled as “anti-Semitism” for speaking up about the truth.

I agree! Also, Jesus the Messiah on the cross, Luke 23:34 "forgive them Father for they know not what they do!" Was that not a prayer to the Father for his Jewish people who chose Him to be crucified on the cross? God made a promise. Remember, the enemy is a deceiver. Also, the reality, had it not been for the Jewish people requesting the crucifixion, would the Gentiles not have a chance to be saved?

@@sheeshd977 Rom 11:28 is speaking only of the elect Jews, not all of them. It is speaking of those of the Jewish contingent of the Israel of God who have been temporarily blinded but who will come to the faith before they exit the earth. So there is the remnant (the Jewish contingent of the Israel of God) and then there are those Jews who are part of that remnant but not yet in the faith. This is what 11:28 refers to.

Individually, if someone does not have the Son, he does not have the Father. Collectively, gentile Christians are elect, and the Jewish people are elect.
