In regards to the hail mary play at the end. After you draw the swords, activate tide, hold priority, activate tide with a new target, hold priority, activate tide with new target, hold priority, activate tide with a new target, hold priority, cast swords to plowshares targeting the tide. That forced swords could've permanently removed four lands.

Great video! gloom is really underplayed for sure. People always say that black is the worst colour but I think it's just a self fulfilling cycle of people saying black is bad so people dont play it so people say its bad etc

It was actually the Withered Wretch that got you in the end, could've Parallaxed your lands before casting Swords to untap them and pay for using Seal on Rack.

Could have held the mana, blocked the wretch for one turn with the Seal and destroyed the rack before damage. Mengu had another turn left, though the game at that point would be in a state where he would have to draw extremely well and Tommy would have to draw extremely poorly.

if i'm not mistaken you could have had another turn if you parallax tide your lands to untap them. block withered wretch with seal of cleansing and sac to the rack before damage. and you guys skipped the draw three discard four of the other attunement which is relevant because of replenish and withered wretch.

In the end it didn't matter, but why didn't Mengu use the Parallax Tide to exile all Tommy's lands before exiling it with Swords? Simply to save on editing since there wasn't really an out anymore, or do I misunderstand how Parallax Tide works?

He also could have targeted four of his lands and the opponents Mishra's Factory, and could have untapped his lands and exiled the Factory with correct sequencing I think. In the end it wouldn't have mattered because he draw a land for the turn.

Hey Mengu, love your channel. The last play was really nice and i might've found a way to keep you alive. You could exile your own lands before you use swords, to get them back untapped. Then you can block with seal next turn and have enough mana to sacrifice it to the rack. Would that work or am I missing something?
