I’m glad they came on the podcast because it shows that you had a lot more facts that GH was not expecting and in the end, I don’t think GH did themselves a favor but showed that a race could have been there for awhile and it is because of a personal conflict and not for the “fans”.

@DualEnduro I know exactly why. It's just funny. Really depends how you look at it. Glen helen is doing fine on its own and mx sports is doing fine on its own. I agree with bud that riders purses should be higher for the series but at the same time bud has got to give in a little bit too.

Im a medic at millville and we run Friday amateur races gotta be done by 5:30 and we also run pro track challenge on Sunday for amateurs glen Helen should do the same

I mean to say tracks don't make money. unadillas Am day last year had 1,250 entrants. At one race each ~63K. Add in ~500 camp spots that's another 50K. Add in ~20K fans day of pro national at $70 a ticket $1.4M. then add in VIP zones another ~120K, Pit passes, vendor fees, parking, extra vehicle passes. now there's expenses for equipment, fuel, security, flaggers, purse money, land taxes, insurance, porta poddies and so on. I don't think they're hurting exactly either.

Track has to pay everything you mentioned, plus $100k fee to MX sports, $100k pro purse, and a variety of other fees to MX, Feld, Etc. They make money (of course) but not what people think.

@@OtisFlint yeah of course. But the VIP and am day essentially pays the MXSports fee and pro purse. Have ~1.5M for everything else. Not like it's 50% off the top for those items. They don't pocket a million but it's a fairly good 300-500K a year for doing a weekend event. It's a lot more than a weekend I know but say 2 months year of work is take it.

@@brettd.watson1821dude the amount of money you would pay for things like insurance for the event, pay for fire and emts to be on stand by, the fees to the city/county for permits to host something like that, if you’ve got employees on the books so they need workman’s comp insurance on top of their wages. All this stuff needs to be in place….and you’re paying taxes on the fees collected from the races too.….there’s a lot more to it than just prepping the track.

Who is getting all the tv money????? Too many hands in the cookie jar. Why won’t the track owners just throw out hard numbers “if I can’t make $_______ then it’s not even worth it. Instead were talking about hot dog and t shirt rights ect. Just freaking own it whatever the number is. The ama is useless also but at this stage of the game if u try to work around anybody in the mix it’s prob lawsuit material.

Of course MX sports is in business. There were concessions made on tickets and they turned it down. Just like any business deal if you don’t like it move along. Glen Helen could have a race if they really wanted to they just have hurt feelings. Not to mention that the spectator count has increased a ton since they turned it down so would be a wash for them at this point anyways. Look at all the changes they did at last weeks race to accommodate the increase in fans.

@@BobbyGeneric145 Nothing funny at all when you lay it out and pretty straight forward. They wanted 3500 tickets. Glen Helen said no. MX sports came back with concessions of 2500 and they still weren't happy. So, MX Sports walked just like I would have. It's no different then simple business that happens every single day.

All the new fans that are showing up isn't because MXSports has done anything new to bring them in. It's H Deegan that's bringing them all in. When you have 1.5 million followers just on their youtube channel it's easy to figure that at least 30,000 of them can show up each week. MXSports needs to be paying that Boy $ for the popularity their enjoying now, none of it's because of Davey Coombs. He's a Snake that went behind the backs of the People he was there working for. MX sports has no interest in helping the riders over themselves the complete opposite of Bud & Lori who wants to help the riders more than themselves. Get it right Gypsy don’t shill for the Coombs no doubt they have helped the sport grow but listen to these folks their grievances are legitimate. Your a solid bloke don’t lose your credibility here stay neutral
