Hi. I also have an E93 M3 on a 98 plate, and judging by the video footage, we don't live that far apart, a few miles at most. I enjoyed the footage but I would want to add that the M button is programmable to the level of 'mental' that you want. I am guessing that you must know this but it wasn't apparent in the video. The only mode you can't seemingly access outside of M mode is Power Plus, everything else can be dialled up. One thing I would like to know from you is how you got your roof to close on the key. I can open mine on the key but not close it.

I have an 2011 E93 325i M Sport in space grey with same int colour trim. It's a nice drive and sounds great but its not doing it for me. I think its time to find an M3 with same colours as i love the car shape, roof, comfort etc.....

Pedal Loud what a great video. I’m a big fan of these V8 M3’s. I have the pleasure of driving an E90 M3 back in 2010 and won’t forget the neck prickling sound of the V8 on an empty midnight road. Did you find out what the exhaust mod was?

I have one, the last year they were made, 2013. It sounds crazy but I TRY not to drive it, because when I do, you just CAN'T get off the throttle. It's SO addictive....and GULPS fuel lol. So it's a weekend warrior.

2.5 mod (see my other vid), it's the best of all worlds, no real drone at motorway speed and decent noise when you want it. Cheers

Thanks for the video. I used to own an e46 convertible and I loved that car. I'm getting the itch for another m car. Is your car lowered or do the wheels give it that effect?

+Michael Greco it's a good question. Embarrassed to say that in all honesty I don't know the answer. The wheels were on it when I bought it, I do think it has slightly different shocks than standard so it probably is a bit lower that combined with the wheels gives the lower look. The later style wheels do help to keep it fresher looking.

Mine was very realiable. Get a well serviced one. Check on the rod bearings and you should be good to go. The V8 in this is one of the best race derived V8s out there. It also sounds incredible.

It's a clunky drive to get used to if its a DSG. They are easy enough though. They feel very solid and well built. It is a big engine though but it needs to be worked hard for things to get really scary. Just take it easy and you'll be fine. 17 is young for 414bhp though!!

Not if you do research and are happy with the history that comes with it. Regular oil changes, tyres, brakes etc. Rod bearings can be troublesome if it's been used too hard from cold. You can get it checked to see how many launch controls it's done, average miles per journey etc. That will help inform you. So long as you're happy go for it.

@Dinami Ena If you're that worried then don't buy the car. It's a car. Things will break, perish and expire. Don't expect to have to pay nothing in garage bills. Factor in some contigency budget to get things sorted. It's an M3. It won't be cheap to fix when it does go wrong.
