By visiting Yangon controlled by junta , you will not see what's really happening in Myanmar . Normally Myanmar people are always welcome any visitors from around the world but not now . Be careful and be safe , you can face bomb blast and gun shot anywhere and anytime .And before you go any country , you should learn about that country . For Myanmar , you should know why myanmar people against military junta and current situation in Myanmar . Not only Yangon but also other parts of Myanmar is not yet back to normal

Shouldn't the goal of a Journalist be to report the facts, whether they be positive or negative? Seeking to report only material that supports a specific narrative is called propaganda or an advertisement. You don't ask a movie studio for an honest review of it's movies, you ask a movie critic with no connection or bias for that studio.

Safe travels, bro. You should be mostly safe if you stay in the big cities such as Yangon, Mandalay, or Naypyitaw. Foreigners are usually left alone unless they happen to be in some restricted areas. But do keep your eyes and ears open, because things can change quickly - the country is in civil war.

I've been to Myanmar four times over the years. The first time was when they were ruled by the junta before the opening up, and at that time it was very closed. No cell phones, internet only at internet cafes, most folks wearing traditional clothing, old Japanese cars. Then subsequent visits after the opening up there were always rapid and huge changes. They junked the aged Japanese cars and newer cars were seen (and a lot more of them), cell providers came in and made phones accessible to more folks, more people adopted Western clothes, big modern malls came in, etc. It still has its charm and unique culture and is an amazing place to visit filled with friendly and wonderful people. I hope to go back again one day.

@@myertravelsand Myanmar was using UK driving system obviously because we were a British Colony. But, it was ordered to change to US driving system during General Nay Win dictatorship. However, a lot of old care with UK system were still in used and used cars from Japan were allowed to be imported until recently. Now, very difficult to import right hand drive cars to Myanmar meaning we are in a transition period :)

Lots of 2nd hand cars imported from Japan, of good quality and cheap, hence they're right-hand drive. But the brand new ones, from the dealership, are mostly, if not all are Left-hand drive, like in the States. In the 80's the Philippines also allowed right-hand driven vehicles on the major roads but totally banned it altogether in the mid 90's due to higher accident rates 👌.

I'm from the Philippines. We had/have a civil war for the longest time and it's ridiculous how the foreign press exaggerates the news. Even worse are the travel advisories from Western embassies from countries that have normalized mass shootings of civilians and hooliganism. The skirmishes in remote areas and the problems that come with a civil war are real, but for the larger number of the population, life goes on. And I doubt the Myanmar situation is anywhere near Ukraine's. Thank you for this video as I'm planning to visit Myanmar again, this time with the whole family.
