almost done with the networking module and i kind of hate netsim. there are bugs where i have to put the command in twice for it to take or the command would not take at all. if I didn't already waste time figuring out that they were bugs (which aren't present in packet tracer) I would have still thought I was doing it wrong

sir can't we enable ospf on particular interfaces by going on those interfaces individually and putting them into an area if so then how can i came to know that NetSim expects from me to configure ospf by using network command rather than interface command?

good stuff. I see you didn't abbreviate much here. Is abbreivation allowed in netsim? Such as FE for fastethernet?

Can you create your own labs with NetSim?
@8Jallin4 жыл бұрын
I might buy the bundle. its $181 with the 30% off. Well I have until the 30th to use this promo code. i hear people saying 'just buy the exam' but I loved this video, then again the whole course for $299 is on sale too, that would make it go down to $209. Less than $30 more and you get more stuff but to be honest I'll probably never get to that stuff since I have David Bombal and the official physical book. I dont know man..... I'll definitely order at least the exam simulator this weekend. I need more opinions.
@Certbros4 жыл бұрын
The 30% NetSim code is active now. If you don't think you will use the full courseware, get the bundle (NetSim + ExSim) instead. Don't spend more money on stuff you're not going to use.

What about switches, for example, STP practice?
@Certbros4 жыл бұрын
I cant see any STP specific labs (maybe because the CCNA only requires the concepts) but you can build your own use NetSim. Other layer 2 labs are available. Here is a list of their labs: www.boson.com/ccna-labs

@@Certbros Thanks! I do appreciate it! I put the STP subject as an example because, it's quite tricky to launch IOU on GNS3 or EVE-NG.

Why don't they say why we are setting the clock rate? One learns better if he or she is told why they are doing something, rather than just doing monkey work.
@anwarahmed53424 жыл бұрын
We set the clock rate on interfaces to control the speed/bandwidth of sending and receiving data. The clock rate is the speed at wich the data is transfered from some sender, so the receiving side of the communication must know what this speed of data is, in order to catch the bits in the moment their are happening on the line.
@Madscrills4 жыл бұрын
@@anwarahmed5342 You're right, anwar. I think Randhts statement is more of why does Boson not explain "why" the clockrate is set. Being a learning tool you'd think they would cover it.
@redwing10013 жыл бұрын
I just bought this and I'm hoping why the lab didn't explain the clock rate is because that guy skipped ahead to OSPF so maybe earlier labs will explain it.

I'm spending whatever money. I'm only taking this thing once, I want the knowledge burned into memory especially since its multiple choice. You're going to have to go through every situation in your head as they explain the question
