@@student_jenn Is there an admission test?
@student_jenn7 ай бұрын
@@KimberlyMarie282 yes an exam on English/Math/reading but if you don’t pass you’ll be on remediation which would add another class to your scheduled for each that you don’t pass. You have 3 attempts to pass each exam. It pretty generic so not too bad! Hope this helps

I found 2 other people to split costs with, we shared a hotel room (I get a discount with Marriott) and one of the girls found the car rental for $8/day! My biggest expense was flight which was $450 round trip - have you joined all the NG fb groups ?theres also a travel group on teams and discord

Hi, thank you so much for this information. I’m still on the fence, but I am glad searched for other people’s reviews. What will be tested on the HESI exams. Are they based on different subjects, depending on how far along I’m in the program? Thanks
@student_jenn11 ай бұрын
Hey,It’s a big decision and I suggest if you’re considering Nightingale and have social media join groups that are for Nightingale students in your area! It’s a great for support/connecting and more info on students that might be similar to your situation. For me I tested for the HESI without taking the class because of my LVN license I had the opportunity/option to test out and the school gave me a list of study guides/quizlets. I studied those and also searched online the class name and found more study materials. I have yet to take a nursing class with Nightingale that have a HESI which will be my next semester in the Summer but yes typically the HESI exams is what you’ve learned in the course. I hope this kinda helps!

Can you make a video specifically about the travel? I am also from California. Im looking into the BSN program with Nightingale.
@student_jenn10 ай бұрын
Sure! Since I was able to pass 2 nursing core classes before starting my program I don't actually have to travel for clinicals until my 3rd semester which is sometime between September-December.
@angelynnthan37558 ай бұрын
I appreciate the video. I am interested in the RN program, but I am concerned about having to travel for clinical shifts. I live in San Diego, California, and I am wondering if flying will be necessary. I suffer from motion sickness during flights and really dislike flying. Also, I wanted to know if Nightingale accepts transfer credits. I have completed all my prerequisites, have a Bachelor of Health Science, and currently work part-time under a CNA license. Thank you
@student_jenn8 ай бұрын
Hi! The traveling is all based on what clinical site is available and Nightingale College has the locations they're affiliated with on their website called SOFE. I was able to transfer about 59 credits from my Associates Degree! Once you submit your transcripts they will go over it and let you know what other classes you'll need. The science classes need to be within 5 years though and for CA you need College Algebra and Stats. I think that's it, plus the Bachelor level classes. Hope this helps and good luck!
@angelynnthan37558 ай бұрын
@@student_jenn Thank you for responding. I appreciate it. I completed College Algebra and Statistics. How long does it normally take to receive an admission response?
@student_jenn8 ай бұрын
No worries! do you mean an admissions call to get interviewed by the school to be a potential student? I was scheduled the next week after I got a call back. For transcript evaluations it takes them a while! I got mine 3 weeks after I submitted all my trascripts.

how many months is the brogram?
@student_jenn10 ай бұрын
It depends on how many pre-requisites you’ve completed and if you have an LVN license to be able to test out of some of the nursing courses. Without transferring any pre-requisites and no LVN license the program will take about 8 semesters to complete, that’s full-time. Each semester is 4 months long . So about 3 years

@@student_jennSo you can get into this BSN program pretty much right out of high school if you wanted to correct? I already have an associates degree in psychology, so that would probably cut a year off the program for me it sounds like?

I tested out of 2 HESI’s so I didn’t have the materials as some students would have if they took the whole course. I used Quizlets as a study guide but a lot of students use the materials from the course and “your best grade”
