I honestly think her time window has passed. I remember when she did All of those Collins’s and the buzz around her was so high! It reminded me of 2003 when Beyoncé first came out. I had never seen so much hype since then. Normani was from a group that entered the chat already mainstream! Meaning she ALREADY HAD THE CROSS OVER AUDIENCE! Her performances from love lies had buzz, her music covers of other songs, Dancing with the stars collars to ME were the peeeeeerrrrfect roll out… then motivation! To MEEE because that song was so nostalgic with the music video I’m like Awwww she’s tryna bring back Pop R&B from back in the day with a modern twist! Everyone was talking about her! It LITERALLY took me back to 2003! I was there and was a huge Beyoncé STAN when I tell you guys I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MUCH BUZZ FROM AN ARTIST GOING SOLO SINCE BEYONCÉ! Normani could have been huge. In my opinion I feel like her time window was then… even when she came out LATER with Wild side.. folks were still talking and then nothing. I don’t think people will be interested this time around.

Social media hype is not real tho, everybody was excited but still didn't keep on streaming or buying her music so her label definitely gave up on her, the music industry is not grossing money as they used to, labels are not investing money they're not sure they'll get back.

@@971Cici No she was actually very successful with what she put out with the exception of Fair. Which didn't have high hopes since it was a ballad. Whats going on with her is absolutely LOCO. it makes noooo sense. This girl had a ton of promise. Saying she did 'fairly well' is an understatment. The two mainstream vids she put out "motivation' and "wild side" were copied by professional dancers globally, korea, the philippines, brazil...girlies were dressing up like her for Halloween. The ball drop on all this buzz this is astounding

True. I know it’s kinda an old video but I felt nostalgia cause motivation was playing on my way to work. I believe her time has passed cause the only way to even erase all that waiting and miss plays is to come back with a BANGER single or better yet the album and it cannot underperform. I am talking millions and millions units sold or streams. Unfortunately if I gather all the current data it’s not gonna happen. She must know it and her team too and that pressure is already not good. People move on so fast nowadays. I was a freelance music enthusiastic / commentator for 6 months and finally decided to only keep it as a side hustle because of the sheer amount of releases, not just big pop names. But indie, low key or regular artists drop things quite often. Sad to see her go that roads but I genuinely cannot see her turning this around. I want her to but o would surprise me.

I still think something is fishy with all the 5H girls besides Camila. All of OT4 have released EP's at best and singles but no full length albums. I don't think that is up to them. I remember hearing a rumor back in the day that they still had an album under the contract as 5H and maybe they were all doing solo stuff to develop themselves then comeback as a group. I wouldn't be mad at that. But at this point we just need music from Mani.

I hope no interviewer asks her about this problem because it would be difficult for Normani to answer. So far they've only skimed the surface but not full on asked her why she has no album after years of debuting solo. Something is wrong and I wish she'd say something instead of staying quiet because no one knows whats happening with her music, especially the fans. It feels like we are in limbo. I hope she is doing well, I just wish she thought about her fans and their perspective as we have ZERO clue what is happening. The least she or her team can do is tell us.

I think the secret reason for her setback is because (even the other 3-4 members from fifth harmony said that the business always pushed Camilla as the lead singer since xfactor) they simply wanted more eyes on Camilla. YES! We all know she's being sabotaged - it's just obvious now. She has released 4 singles and 3 of them are certified. 3 videos and 2 of them are vevo certified. She has billions of streams on Spotify with no album and has fans calling out for an album daily and it's like crickets in labels ears. People are even willing to wait annually (for a new artist) and still nothing. All this and she had one performance for all her singles and pretty much had all of the releases sabotaged in some way, either by removing them on streaming sites, not releasing the video or just blocking performances. You look at other artists and they sell much less and it's like 'here's your new star' and I'm like wait huh. The ROI is a great answer though and I don't think the label makes much when she releases or they would have paid for that Wild Side video so I'm guessing she's not in a 360. Normani was not expected to be big and I think after trying multiple ways to sabotage her and it not work, the only solution is to hold her from releasing at all (cause she's affecting them making money off these other artists). It's a bit like Nicki Minaj, all her money goes to Nicki so what's the point in pushing Nicki, so lets push this artist instead and we all get to make money even if they sell less. I still think she'll get an album out someway

Child I am sorry. I don’t see it for this girl , I don’t get artist from her. She’s beautiful, cute voice and can dance her ass off but y’all there’s NOTHING that’s cutting edge about her . I’m the complete opposite. Sometimes im like “I guess i just gotta forget about Normani and listen to other artists 😞” But no other artist has been able to fill her void for me. I think her tone is super smooth/versatile. I love her cadence too and some of her songs are so unique (Wild Side, Candy Paint (leaked demo)). Idk how to explain it but they just sound so fresh compared to what we have out right now. What makes her super unique is her dancing/performances. None of the newer artist in the U.S can dance like her. Her music videos are top tier too. The choreography is insane. I respect your opinion. But I just wanted to give you another perspective. I think some of the stuff i mentioned (especially the dancing) are a reason why so many people have not given up on her yet.
