North Face, maybe not that great. But it is a very attractive looking and trendy jacket

I like that I don't have to layer much, just a long sleeve and a Canada Goose parka will suffice for -25°C even while taking the bus. I definitely think it's also a minor 'flex', but lots of people in NY have one.

Canada Goose recently started selling their own used and refurbished coats for like 1/3 of the price. I think they call it Generations or something on their site. I bought the MacMillan on there for only $800 and it looks practically new with a few minor sewing issues

$800 for a jacket with minor flaws? No thanks

I think what turned me off the most with CG was that 4/5 jackets have loose threads, bigger gaps between seams. Also I find the Canada Goose label is the tackiest thing ever...Black label looks a lot better.

I’m in the process of buying a north face puffer but then I saw it’s made from polyester. Im confused, if it’s made out of poly then why is it so expensive? I mean we always give fast fashion trouble because it’s made from the same material but not north face? I thought it would be made from a better sustainable material? So my question is, is the quality really that much better than something form Uniqlo for instance? I mean they use the same materials or do they use better polyester if that’s actually a thing?

Have you had any experience with Mackage? They look pretty good.

I think you should compare jackets that are similarly priced.

Here in Ireland Canada Goose have become the brand of choice for teenage drug dealers. I wouldn’t wear one of their jackets if you paid me to.

If you get the jacket, do you get a discount on your drugs?

Canada Goose is probably not as well worth it now compared to buying it from years ago. I had one from 10 years ago that I bought in NYC and still holding up really well.

Canada goose is better. Not worth the price though. When they were $600-$700 that’s where they should have topped out. Anyone paying $1200 + tax is crazy. There are a lot of warm jackets on the market nowadays

Demand is still high for Canada Goose jackets even with the crazy prices

North face is overrated. There are vastly superior jackets in that price range eg. Fjallraven or Arcteryx
@e9cw196Ай бұрын
Arcteryx I would consider a lot more expensive

Arcteryx is double the price of North face

Fjallraven's Expedition Lite Jacket is $550, and their regular jacket is $750. But they're mich more performance oriented than TNF, which is essentially fashion-only now, in their lower lines.
@e9cw1964 күн бұрын
@ I agree but for the most part TNF will do a good enough job anyways. I think fashion aspect has taken over a lot of brands though, even Arcteryx is definitely fashion oriented. Still good jackets though
