It is not entirely true that south India is the most developed in India, along with those, Haryana, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Maharashtra all have a HDI similar or higher than them. People get mistaken by north India since only 3-4 states like UP-bihar, jharkhand etc have a bad economic and social background.

I'm from Maharashtra and North and south Indian rivalry is mainly for movies(and that's a good thing for indian films)...also Bollywood is in Maharashtra 😏 While other are just normal conflicts which also happens between states of many countries...
