As a Newcastle fan Elliot Anderson is a player we would never have sold except for the PSR corrupt system. He has bulked up this season and improved on his power and some of his previous defensive frailties. He has been unlucky he had a back injury then our midfield with 2 Brazilian internationals. We also don't play with a 10 which is his best position followed by a left sided number 8 in a midfield 3. I think you might get a pleasant surprise with Anderson as if we never had Joelinton he would have started a lot more games last season. More game time managed well and he will thrive. Hope he excels for you except when playing NUFC.

Forest fans complaining about this transfer, but fail to realise they’ve offloaded some of their deadwood to Newcastle, in the shape of a young goalkeeper, which in-turn makes the Anderson fee smaller than what’s being reported. Also, us Newcastle fans didn’t want to see him leave, but these PSR regulations have us bent over a barrel without any Vaseline!! IMO, he’ll go on to have a successful career at Forest?

@@thetruth3213 We were forced to sell Minteh to Brighton, a player we bought for the future, he hadn’t even kicked a ball for Newcastle… Not every club needs to sell their future stars either, many clubs in the league are doing just fine, Brighton being one them.

Not all the fans are complaining, a lot of us are excited but assume it's an inflated fee for PSR reasons and are waiting to see if he's great addition to our squad or if he's been bought to replace one of our better players.

The way I see it with Southgate is he's trying to focus the team entirely on possession based tactics irrespective of the opposition, so we don't get overrun against the better teams. The trick is getting that balance between taking no risks and creating few chances and attacking.

i knew from the beginning Marinakis would not sell Murillo or MGW if he dont need to , there was no way Mr Marinakis would have sanctioned that. And im glad ive been proven right. Some of this talk how Forest may go about this was like as if the management at Forest dont know what they are doing !! People kept saying oh Murillo is defo going and all this rubbish . Im glad ive been vindicated . He may go at a later date but we will be in charge and if he is sold it will be under our terms

Yes I did for your information and it’s still a ridiculous amount for a player who was on loan at Bristol Rovers last season, it’s a position in the pitch that isn’t a priority to strengthen or have you missed that, we have to be very careful with what we spend with psr and proven premier league players should be a priority not ones that may work out.

£35m over 5 year contract is £7m next year in the books, we'll probably get at least that for Vlachodimos which goes as immediate profit and his big wages off our books. Anderson looks good player but his fee all part of the PSR juggling act.
