Helpful. Informative. You would think a lot of us old people would come and listen to what you have to say? But such is the way of the world, I guess?. Thank you for this presentation.

My dad was staying with me and my kids before he had a tbi and stroke he gets 1700 a month from social security which he would use for a portion of rent and his bills each month buy he's been in the hospital and acute care for 3 months and I have not touched his money I'm his only living daughter I'm left to make Decisions for him they said he needs medicaid so I in the process of applying he has not assets no car nothing he's divorced so while he's been in the hospital care he has been receiving his money each month I have not touched it so does that count as more money even though I have not taking out half for the rent he usually would pay because I didn't no if I was able to do that for him I literally have nothing I working nonstop to be able to survive iv never experienced this and don't no what to do? Can you help me understand how this works and what I'm allowed to do can I take out the portion out for the rent and will they deny him because it's over 2,000

If your spouse can no longer drive and you give his car (10+ years old, 150,000 miles, not in good shape, worth less than 1000) to your adult child, does that count as a gifting?
