Forget amateurs, many fighters won Olympic gold etc. it means nothing, we’re talking about pro boxing, although we can name people like Ray Robinson who went 84-0 with 69 KO in amateurs and as a pro was undisputed in 2 divisions multiple times having gone on an 89 fight win streak. Or Ali who beat multiple generations of legendary fighters during the golden age of heavyweight boxing, including peak Foreman who even 20 years later became world champion. Or Joe Louis who had 26 defences of his world title. Or Pacquiao who won titles in 8 divisions, or Mayweather who beat the who’s who in a good age of lightweight and welterweight boxing. Or Henry Armstrong who held 3 of 8 glamour division world titles at one time and went 27-0 in 1 year with 26 KOs. Or Roberto Duran who was a career lightweight and won titles as high as light heavyweight. And there are many other legendary achievements in the history of boxing. Usyk is a great fighter and I’m being generous when I say he could break in with these guys, because some of the achievements of these guys are other worldly. And discrediting Ali in poor taste when it’s long been said this era has an overrated set of heavyweights. The only legit heavyweights Usyk fought taller than him are AJ and Fury, unless we’re also counting the legendary Dubois.

Take the romanticism out of it and look at what he’s achieved - it’s simply phenomenal. I struggle to say greatest of all time because when we talk about boxing we also talk about the legacy and how certain fighters became cultural icons and transcended the sport. Think of Ali and how he took a stand against going to war, and going to prison for his views. Yes some will say ‘that’s not in the ring’ but his aura in that sense elevated the sport in a way many upcoming fighters will always struggle to overcome. And that’s no sleight on Usyk who I absolutely love as a fighter and how he comes across - seems like a genuine good guy. @johnsonanum I do. He has set countless records. 350-15 Amateur record -national champ -European champ -world champ -Olympic Gold -WBSS champ at semi pro -CW champ in just his 10th fight -Unified CW, wins MA tournament and becomes undisputed CW In just his 3rd HW bout, becomes unified HW champ -6th bout, Undisputed. He's beaten all the top dogs; first time, on their own turf, as the B-side, no questions asked, no difficulty in negotiations. He just lives his craft. 22 fights and undisputed in the two blue ribband weight classes... And above all... He now has John and Tyson Fury trying to figure out how he was born... Because it surely can't have been from his mother...😉

Usyk is, just like Fury, one of the all time greats, but but no means, just like Fury isn't, the greatest of all time. To be be that you have to rule for many years and beat top opposition.

It's not down to Fury to dictate if he has a rematch, if anything, it will be Usyk. Fury has 0 belts.

1. Muhammad Ali 2. Mike Tyson 3. Joe Frazier Top 3 all time
@thesorrow888 ай бұрын
Mike Tyson 😂😂😂 And you have Joe Frazier ahead of George Foreman. Absolute casual.

@@thesorrow88 yes I'm a casual. And that's my opinion. What is your expert opinion?

What sort of title is that? Best boxer of all time? He’s fantastic but best of all time is a stretch.

It’s absolutely pathetic I think! Usyks professional career doesn’t have the depth or longevity to even think about this! It’s sad if you ask me

No. Argument for top 10 but his level of competition has been too low historically speaking to rank him higher. Perhaps just behind Holyfield.
