Thanks. The image doesn't seem as clear as it could be in master mode and much darker/pale colors that in auto mode. While I'm happy that blacks don't look too dark like in the Find X8 pro and more like the oneplus 12, they rarely look as much 3D as the 12 in these first shots because of a lack deeper blacks, clarity, punchy colors or sharpening. I'd like you're next phone after this one to be Magic 7 or Magic 7 pro. Thank you.

I would say the vivo is more consistent, better zoom, (not a crazy amount but better non the less) And then also it allows close up shots far better then the Oneplus 13. BUT it has limited locations it sales (the vivo)

Ok so I am a camera enthusiast and I checked the Oneplus 12 in the pro mode or master mode there is no option to capture raw photos in 50 mp, it's limited to 12mp RAW images. Can you confirm if the high-resolution 50mp RAW is there on Oneplus 13 or is it limited to 12mp raw? thanks

no, it's the ultra wide doing something, the effect is a bit more on the youtube version, but it's a bit focus hunting with the ultra wide in the video itself, it's something I am going to keep an eye on because of course I have this device really early.

Can you show the high resolution compared to normal resolution shots? On the 11 i didnt see much difference when i did thet because this phone adds more compression on the higj res file. hahaha yes, I explained it shortly, but there are several reason but the 2 main reasons are better to control the composition, like for instance a short low to the ground is much easier this way, but also if you want something blurred in the for ground that is lower then your waist. Then second it's easier to control, you thumb is right there are the shutter button and you aren't block your view :)

oooeeeeh.... that's a REALLY though one, i'd day they are probably on par if we talk main camera and ultra wide, not when we are talking about zoom though, it isn't very good on this. realisticly wait for the 15 Ultra. heard it will have a big battery upgrade!

Well sadly this has put me off. Was considering this phone especially for battery life and screen, Have an iphone 15pro and think i may stay with it. Video and photos didn’t seem very good especially when panning in and out. Think i will wait and see what the pixel 10 offers. Great review thanks 👏🏼

Not bad, but I expected more. The pictures lack depth and from what I saw, they either looked way too over sharpened or way too soft. Maybe I am spoiled with the pictures that I get from my 14 Ultra. Not that the Xiaomi is perfect, almost a year later, and skin tones inconsistency is still there, but the pictures have depth, character, and are organically sharp.

well that is a bit of the nature of Master mode ^^ if you want more punch the auto will do better, but I prefer myself a bit more of that look, though like you said it needs more charachter, though a lot of brands strugle with that characther feel, like almost all! And yes the 14 Ultra is peak of characther and soul in the shot!

Dont know about details and HDR, but color philosophy reminds me of dslr. Looks very natural and realistic. Couldn't see the oversharpening on macro either. Macro looked pretty good with plenty of details and nice balanced colors. Video looked pretty horrible though

Hello from Serbia! What you think, about 12 vs 13 in camera secktor? You one of the best camera expert. Where is OnePlus in camera quality top list? I know you love Xiaomi, i have before oneplus 12, xiaomi 13 pro, i know what you talk about that. But OnePlus 12 is camera update from Xiaomi 13 pro for me, expecial in telephoto segment. Cheers!

hello :) And mmmm I would say small improvements here and there, ultra wide low light is better though on the 13 for sure! Also in video the zoom level is better on the 13. Minimum focus distance is better on the 12 though for the telephoto!

For what I can see with this video and others is that the have the same issue as always. Pictures are great but video is way less than ideal, specially in the selfie department with their unlockable filters over smoothing and whitening the face. Sad. I'll wait another year to come back, but I don't have almost any hope that they'll ever fix that.

The master mode just captures images as we see them. So they look natural but also very boring. None of that matters to me since I shoot in RAW and edit them when I am serious about a photo.
