i think for the topic mentioned in the video, 1st and fore most categorization of land for agriculture, industry, housing and residential, tourism etc needs to be carried out. Haphazard urbanization is leading to disorientation in setting up infrastructures for those area. Beside that policies must be implemented. Any product that has a market will surely do good. we talk about product, market, income, sales and profits but unfortunately less attention is directed in production, industrialization and economies of scale.

Legalization of marijuana can be done...each farmer should get specific amount for cultivation and that amount should be purchased by govt and should be exported to earn foreign currency. Hi Sushant. I have an idea 💡. Why not lease unused lands and make for export and nepal only. Fix salary for worker to work in field for 8 hours in shifts. Invest on Making machinery equipment for farming. Also selling bottled water with its region name and minerals present in it. You can see how Bangalore is making meet and know ur farmer concept app. Great work here. I can see great potential here.

Its scientifically proven that organic farming can produce similar or better yeilds compared to non organic farming. It's also proven that inorganic farming kills soil eventually and the food produced is also not healthy. So, organic and inorganic fertilizer should be used together and inorganic fertilizer should be reduced gradually and totally shifted towards organic farming. Ganja should definitely be cultivated. But strict laws and regulations should be enforced by government to save youths from ganja.

Sushant bro I think you should set example in agricultural sector. I don't think there will be any agricultural land remaining in Kathmandu. Regarding marijuana commercial use should be allowed with strict control of local government. Long term use of M may cause an increased risk of mental health disorders, such as schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety. Nepali le dal bhat jasto smoke garyo vane chai ramro vayena.

With Appropriate policy integration, marijuana can be cultivated and exported. But personal use should be regulated. Similarly, in my opinion, agriculture should be more organized or any organization can take a lead of acquiring land/ lease agreement, sowing, planting and harvesting, similarly selling & marketing, Crop rotating...... If public are directly involved to finance this via ipo or other similar financial tools, we can probably secure this area. We can also integrate it with retirement plans in the context of nepal. Other policies regarding other economical plant species and crops should also be reformed as required. The food processing technology integration might as well be relevant.

People are happy to do business or farming in nepal , (and me too). As per the www.myrepublica.com Indian agricultural products have dominated the Nepali kitchen. A major percentage of vegetables and fruits is imported from neighboring India, according to the one-year data of the Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Board. For instance, imported onions from India in a period of one year accounted for 99 percent of the total volume of onions traded at the market. Similarly, tomato imported from India made up 94.11 percent, potato (60 percent), green pea (45 percent), gourd (39 percent), pumpkin (66 percent), moringa oleifera (77 percent), tamarind (99 percent), apple (81 percent), pomegranate (98 percent), papaya (81 percent), and grape (81 percent) of the market. In the face of increasing imports of agricultural products from India, economists have warned that the situation was not good for the country when over half of its population is dependent on agriculture. According to the National Census 2021, 50.1 percent of the population depend on agriculture. The import of agricultural products from India is massive, said the board's information officer Binaya Shrestha. Agricultural products imported from India in a span of one year accounted for 38.68 percent of the total imports, he said. "Vegetables in large quantities are imported from India," he said. Out of over 263 million kilograms of vegetables imported during the period, more than 101 million kg was imported from India, said the board's planning officer Ramesh Dangol. China and Bhutan supplied over 100,000 kg each, Bangladesh (around 150,000 kg), and other countries over 5,000 kg. "Nepal is not self-sufficient on some vegetables. Failure to commercialize agriculture may be a reason. So, we are forced to import from foreign countries including India," he said. Until some years ago, around 80 percent of the demand for vegetables was fulfilled with domestic products, he said. "Apples produced in mountainous Jumla district cannot reach here due to various problems. So, the fruit is imported from foreign countries to meet the demand. Lately, the import of vegetables and fruits is increasing." The Kalimati market purchased vegetables from the local market including the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts) and other nearby districts including Dhading, Kavrepalanchok, Makawanpur, Chitwan, Sarlahi, Dolakha, Nuwakot and Gorkha. In the previous fiscal year, 2021/22, a total 270,278 metric tonnes of vegetables and fruits were imported from foreign countries, said the board.
