We did a blind of Lot B versus Weller 12 and I legit couldn’t tell the difference. The previous bottle I had was incredible. I’d buy again at MSRP, but there’s too much variation between batches to justify paying secondary market prices.

A local store was willing to sell me one for $500 (down from $800) but I passed mostly due to the low proof. If I'm gonna drop crazy coin I want some serious complexity and layers that I can't imagine 90pr can offer. Maybe I'm wrong. Cheers

Congrats on the milestone! For me, Lot B is tasty, and if you have a chance to grab it at MSRP (around here, that would be at store openings, lotteries, or store special events), it's worth it. But because of the low proof, it's lacking a bit of punch and complexity that I usually look for in a pour. While I might pay a small premium for a glass at a bar occasionally, I just can't do secondary. #EDDVANWINKLE
