After nine years of pet insurance, diagnostics are not covered, and for some breeds, cancers aren’t covered either. My question then is, what is covered? The premium has doubled since I started.

I love how she is so upfront that using emergency funds and savings are a much better option for now. I looked and compared the different pet insurance in the market and the coverage ain't great with lots of exclusion and some even stop after a certain age where all the real medical bills will start to come in. Some don't include chemo. Some need to have surgery only to be eligible for payout. So like my previous girl who never had any issues but was suddenly admitted to hospital and needed to be in an oxygen chamber for a week, some pet insurance will not cover this as well. So, highly agree that saving for their future medical bills seem to be a much better option at this point.

Glad that she has a mongrel ! I notice that some of local people are so obsess with the breed which really turn me off.
