This episode and episode 6 are my favourite. The animation in this episode is amazing, especially when they are discussing/arguing about dark magic. The expressions that both of them show during that seen is so well done. The way they made the "Ray of Illumination" spell Rayllum at the end had me feeling so many things.

I really enjoyed how when Rayla told him he had to stop the dark magic, Callum's asked, "Because it's wrong?" and Rayla's response was, no, because it hurts you. It was nice to see how her frustration wasn't about taking the moral high-ground, but about concern for his safety and well-being.

Skall's role in season 6 is almost perfectly in line with my personal theory since I read her poem. Alot of people pointed out a big parellel between Skall and Rayla: they both left someone they loved for personal reasons, Skall to pursue glory and Rayla to pursue revenge, and they both came to deeply regret it. Therefore my theory was that Rayla would find some kind of journal on her ship and read it and after seeing the parralel between her and Skall, finally realise how wrong she was to leave Callum and finally apologise for it. When Rayla starts crying when she reads the part about Skall's regrets about Conrad, I think its because she realises she made the exact same mistake with Callum, especially as Skall emphasizes her regret in thinking that what she and Conrad had was worth sacrificing and how despite her achievements all she can think about is what might have been if she stayed. It's a shame Rayla never apologised but at least after this i think she finally lets go of whatever delusions she still had that she did the right thing leaving Callum and resolves to never make that mistake again.

It's nice to see that Terry was willing to help Claudia even when in episode 6x01 she said; "You're never going to leave me. Because I'm leaving you first" and to watch him make a wooden prosthetic for her was kind. He's definitely someone who deserved to be protected from getting messed with, even if he's likely been blinded by his love for Claudia until 5x09. Watching both Stella and Sneezles together is cute, the way they act like the audience trying to bring Rayla and Callum back together is adorable. I almot feel like they're definitely the "kids" of the couple since Stella was almost like Rayla's protective adopted daughter when introduced in 4x01 and Sneezles is like Callum's adopted son as the whole journey progresses. Can't wait to see how they "evolve" along with their 'parents' during the resong of Book 6 The way Callum both uses the dialogue from the teaser was a clever idea as it almost references the Rayllum ship almost being "frozen in time" and when reciting his father's old poem about the stars almost reminded me of his dream-induced realization about the Sky Arcanum when his mother told him to "just breathe." It could be that maybe he inherited an awareness of Arcana from his father, especially saying "appreciating every breath" seems like it could have been what might have led to his father's breathing sickness. If trying to use dark magic led to a breathing issue it might have been relating to why he took even breath and moment as special, something that could be passed onto Callum who always seems to focus on "small moments" with his art

Startouched: I love Viren’s scene on the beach with Claudia, namely because of Viren and his reaction to what Claudia had done. When Claudia was sobbing, I felt nothing. Hopefully she can find a way to grow the rest of her leg. I mean, she cured Soren’s paralysis. So Claudia left Terry. She left him before he could leave her. It’s a good thing I didn’t ship Terry and Claudia together. Terry could get another character to love. It doesn’t have to be Claudia. There’s other fish in the sea. The Frozen Ship: “I did one spell. I had to.” It always starts with one spell and then another and then another. And before you know it, you’re just like old Viren and Claudia now. Terry is still at the beach, waiting for Claudia. Come on, Terry! He’s got it bad. It’s very sweet of Terry to bathe Claudia and give her a prosthetic leg. Rayla should read romance novels. Stella and Sneezles are quite devious together. They ship Rayllum. Oh! That was my reaction when Ezran said that Viren didn’t deserve mercy.
