I pray for him to be in trouble in book 7. I hope he uses dark magic again! Call me crazy but I think him getting possessed and used against Ezra, Rayla, ect. Would be a really good way to mix it up. And they did say if he uses dark magic again he will be consumed by it, I feel like that is setting up for a future episode.

I love in this writing this season that they give the older audience members enough context in the scenes building up to twists to put the pieces together and then watch the pay off happen before their eyes. And even on some of the twists that happen that no one anticipated, they gave us something to look back on when watching it again and see how they set it up

It’s like the boy who cried wolf, Viren has been so manipulative for so long that even when he is trying to be genuine, everyone just thinks he’s being manipulative again. It’s as you said, you can’t help but feel bad for him, while also knowing that he completely did this to himself.

Am I the only one who notice lots of staffs like Viren's at the pilars of the Zenith area at the Star Scraper? Those silverly glowing things at the pilars are similar to his staff when it opens! The staff came from there! And it would explain how Aaravos got to the corona of the heavans and got one of the Quasar Diamonds!

This episode is probably my favorite of not only of season 6, but probably the entire show. The Rayllum stuff was amazing, and the ending scene with Astrid and Cosmo and the other celestial elves finally seeing the stars again was wonderful. But for me, the real stars of this episode were Soren and Viren. Everything about their interactions was exactly what I was hoping to see. First, how Soren refuses to even let Viren speak to him at first, wanting him to feel the cold rejection he put him through. Then Viren admitted that he was cruel to him, and finally told Soren that he’s proud of him, thinking that’s what he wants to hear. But Soren can’t accept it after everything he’s done, and is convinced that it’s all just another lie. And in the end, Viren tells Soren what he actually needs to hear. That Viren knows he doesn’t deserve forgiveness, and just wants Soren to know that what happened to him wasn’t his fault so he can get closure and move on. Jesse Inocalla and Jason Simpson did a phenomenal job, as did the writers, and they deserve all the praise in the world!

This has been my favourite episode of Season six so far. Soren’s breakdown was so well done and appropriately heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹 And, Rayla’s song unexpectedly saving the day was really sweet 🥰 I never thought I’d hear any singing in the Dragon Prince, let alone a character like Rayla singing; but I absolutely loved it ♥️♥️♥️

And I keep thinking about what Cosmos said about Rayla. She showed mercy to Marcos at s01 ep01. She showed mercy to Ezren and Callum allowing them to survive and save Zym and protect him and fight the battle of Storm Spire 🤩🥰 Her mercy created ripples that spread and influenced others and many facts that came after! Her mercy is a crucial part of the story! And the way Cosmos puts it is amazing! Plus she reacts as if he should not be saying this or thinking it of her - beacuse she yet has trouble seeing all her qualities and strenghts! That short and yet so meaningfull passage between them was beautifull ❤

This was a cool episode, the moment with Callum seeing Rayla telling the souls of her parents "I'll get you out" was nice to see. The scene with Stella holding Sneezles as they slept beside Rayla was adorable, definitely seems to almost mirror the fact Rayla and Callum are slowly reconnecting. When calling the ice behemoth both Luna Tenebris' "pet" and "loyal companion" to me indicates there was a close connection that led to such a heartbroken creature, but the collar definitiely seems likely to be subservient to Luna and the reaction is akin to a loyal pet missing it's beloved caretaker. The ending with Callum seems so dark, I'm worried Kosmo may not regain his sight after telling Callum he could see darkness and to end the episode with Aaravos say "the human mage is already corrupted by darkness" feels like he'd be Aaravos' new pawn. The mention of Rayla's kindness sending "ripples that have not subsided" feels like a callback to "Moonrise" when she spared the soldier's life, especially as this led to the discovery of Zym's egg. Viren telling Aaravos (or at least shouting into the darkness) "You don't control me anymore" seems to indicate he's still in some way bound to Aaravos because of Sparklepuff, but the ending shot of a spider approaching the captured fly is likely symbolic of both Callum and Viren's "consumption" by darkness

I said episode 6 was my favorite but also seeing the events happen in this episode made me emotional. Soren's interaction with Viren, Rayla's conversation with Esmeray, the time blind, Rayla singing and comforting to Stella and Esmeray, Callum trusting Rayla and getting the quasar diamonds, and Callum's future said in darkness. Almost hard to believe it happened in just one episode. This was also a good reaction video

Some cool moments of foreshadowing: 1. When rayla sings, we only get a part of it - the context of why becomes clear when "silver queen" is mentioned b/c it's a famous lullaby that luna tenebris sung to esmeray 2. *SPOILERS* when the corona of the heavens is first introduced, only two out of the three quasar diamonds shine - we later find out that the third one is a fake 3. *SPOILERS* when the pearl prison is shown, we see it in is original place back at katolis - we later find out that callum and rayla were carrying the decoy all along. Bonus: *SPOILERS* the intro itself retroactively tells us thay Aaravos was a giant + outs into perspective how he swallowed queen aditi I love foreshadowing!!!

The Tale of Soren and Cinderella Once upon a time, a man and a woman fell in love. The man’s name was Viren, and the woman was named Lissa. They came from two different kingdoms- Viren was from the prosperous kingdom of Katolis, and Lissa from the rough, cold place of Del Bar. But somehow, they found love, and started a family. They both loved their son and their daughter very much. However, the son, Soren, was a weak and sickly child. He had an awful disease in his lungs, and it got worse and worse. His mother knew there was nothing anyone could do for him, so she held him dear. However, his father, Viren, decided that he would save his son's life. He knew of a magic powerful enough to do it, but he would need something that was not his to use. So he destroyed the man who had this instrument, and took it for himself. When his wife saw what he had done, she told him not to go through with the spell, but he wouldn’t listen. He took her tears, and she left him and her children. Over the years, the father became more and more infested with power and ambition, and made it a habit to cast dark spells. His love for Soren dimmed, as he blamed his son for his wife leaving them. He also led his daughter, Claudia, to follow in his footsteps, teaching her the dark magic that now ruled his life. Eventually, he succeeded in becoming the king of Katolis, and decided to wage war on the magical land of Xadia, which had reasonably decided to kick him and all of the humans in the world out. However, at the battle, he fell off of a REALLY tall tower and died. Two years later, his daughter brought him back to life for 30 days, with the help of an ultra giant, loony startouched elf who was good at possessing people, and most likely doesn’t even plan on using Claudia or Viren to get revenge on the star people and the archdragons for murdering his daughter and imprisoning him in a very comfortable library, but Callum, who made his girlfriend promise to kill him. She won’t. He should get imprisoned. Anywho… Viren was supposed to die at the end of the 30 days, because he didn’t want to kill his younger son, Sir Sparklepuff, who was purple and had a serious speech impediment, and butterfly wings, for no reason other than that he was once a giant caterpillar. But Claudia killed the homunculus, and Viren lived. He realised all of the errors that he had made in his life, and left Claudia to fix his relationship with his son, Soren. He eventually killed himself in order to prove himself to his son. (Claudia is a wackadoodle now, and I’m sure that if she hadn’t cut off her hair she’d use it to strangle her boyfriend- then herself). … In another part of the kingdom, a family of women mourned the loss of a father. A girl named Cinderella, who came from this family, was now left in the care of her evil stepmother, who made her act as a scullery maid. Even though the whole castle was destroyed by a blind dragon, King Ezran of Katolis decided to randomly throw a giant ball. Cinderella wanted to go to the ball, so she ran away from home and married some wacko named Soren from the Kingdom of Katolis, who she met there. And Claudia got institutionalized for first-degree murder. :) The End
