Only Phenomenology is Real

#Simulation and #hyperreality feels bad man. Here's my non-explainy introduction to #phenomenology as first philosophy for the feed-brained subjects out there. This video was inspired by Maurice Merleau-Ponty and his critique of intellectualism, variations of which include idealism and Cartesian rationalism. This is to say, there's still home in the world amid all the appearances and noise. While you can't trust everything you see, you can't distrust everything you forget to look at--this is one of those "go touch grass" philosophies.
The phenomenological (touching-grass) alternative to anti-realism is most interestingly stated in "The Visible and Invisible" (amzn.to/3sQR8iZ) by Merleau-Ponty, and most exhaustively argued in "Phenomenology of Perception" ( amzn.to/3n2yXpK).
