Really appreciate your emphasis on the overall UX, just playing games alone isn’t enough if the experience is poor. I’m someone who just won’t touch it if it’s too much work so that matters a lot to me

I love retro handhelds for about the price of three games you can get all systems and games up to psp-it makes the little kid in me happy-I have the retro pocket 2plus and like it a lot -tried streaming pc games and that’s why I sprung for retro pocket 3 with the button layout it seems perfect for 2K22 and I’m hearing the screen is bigger(better)only question is when it comes what am I to do with the rp2plus ps this thing takes long to shipped and I think the company need to take a look at that

Hi! I’ve seen you’re using the bsnes hd core and I have two questions: 1. My unit only shows the bsnes hd beta. 2. You’re Retroid frontend shows the core, but mine doesn’t. Do you know why could that be? Thank you for your help, and also for your videos!
@ScatteredBrain2 жыл бұрын
I was just showing that you can change the settings yourself. You have to figure out the name of the core so that the launcher can launch directly into that BSNES HD core. If you’re trying to do exactly what I did, take a look at the section where I show changing Retro Arch launch settings in the video and that should help!

Weird. I had zero luck running ds games on mine, and ppsspp ran stuff at 1x res and the 2x res rendering ran pretty poorly for most games, and some that ran fine on my psp itself ok just would black screen on the rp3. Not sure what im doing wrong in that case.
@ScatteredBrain2 жыл бұрын
What games were you trying to play? For DS, were you using the standalone Drastic emulator? For PPSSPP are you using the version the RP3 installs automatically or one from the Google Play store?
@Dawnseeker_Ch2 жыл бұрын
@@ScatteredBrain For the DS I did not yet buy the Drastic Emulator, but since I had a 3ds and knew the shop was essentially shutting down, I opted to finally work on the cfw for it instead as that would be essentially perfect for my 3ds and ds stuff. PPSSPP is from the google play store, i think. The main problem was my Breath of Fire 3 file, though Final Fantasy Tactics: WotL wouldn't work either (even got a version that had the speedfix hack to see if that was different but nope.)

@ScatteredBrain2 жыл бұрын
If ALL you want is PSP, go for a Vita. But things like N64 and Dreamcast are sub-par in performance. The vita will play PSP perfectly but not upscaled. There ARE some hacks you can apply (maybe I’ll cover in an upcoming video 😉) but it’s a little hit or miss.

I’m curious about dock mode with the TV. Even though the games only go to 720 P, Nintendo switch games look great on a 4K TV and they top out at 1080p but botw is at 720p and looks great. Or is that just me being easy to impress?
@arifkambing27042 жыл бұрын
would you recommend this over the odin lite?
@ScatteredBrain2 жыл бұрын
Hard to say. I haven’t used the Odin Lite, just the Pro. And while it’s a fantastic device and definitely more powerful than the RP3… it’s definitely a larger device footprint, and the Ayn team is having a difficult time mass reproducing them. If you like the features of the Lite better and you don’t mind waiting, that could be the device for you. But the RP3 is a great pocketable and more accessible due to availability, as long as your ok with a less powerful device. Power doesn’t equal better. It’s all personal preference. If all you want is widescreen PS1 for example, this is 100% the device for you. If all you want is GameCube, this isn’t the device for you. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
@arifkambing27042 жыл бұрын
