Part of me is leaning towards him staying as WWE has gotten really good at all of these "leaks" lately and all these contracts expiring and turning it to their advantage. I will say this Bron Breaker and Dragonov put on a great hard hitting match and then after it just seemed relentless how vicious they want Bron Breaker to look. If it is Ricochet's last thing in WWE for a while he goes out making someone look like a total badass but the whole Samantha Irvin focus after suggests that it could be leading to a big return for him down the line to seek revenge.

Ricochet has never been irreplaceable. Yes, he can do a ton of flips and dives, but there are a bunch of ppl who can do the same thing. Edge was far more valuable and more accomplished, and WWE let him walk. The problem with wrestling fans is that they only look at talent. Ricochet wasn't charismatic and didn't connect with the crowd well enough for them to care about him. Samantha was more over than him, and she's just an announcer.

Since they've already acknowledged on screen that Ricochet and Samantha are together then I think it would make even less sense for her NOT to be backstage with Ricochet in the ambulance, regardless of whether or not Ricochet is leaving. If this were a shoot she wouldn't just sit at ring side watching her fiance get brutally assaulted and do nothing.

I will say as one counter point, they could have decided to still do the best down but instead of showing him being carted into the ambulance with her at his side, simply made an announcement from a commentary cut away, allowing for fans to have a more definitive disconnection point. As it stands fans will absolutely be invest in this story and ricochet, and while that isn’t to say that he is definitely staying with wwe, I could see this being an attempt to buy him over by setting him up for a big storyline where in if he chooses to come back he will have momentum behind him, but if he chooses to leave well he was effectively written off.

Re: Ricochet/Samantha interactions, there's been a video going around lately during the Ricochet/Braun teaming time of Ricochet being totally out of it, Braun grabbing some mistletoe and holding it over Ricochet's head, and telling Samantha to kiss him. They acknowledged the relationship there (might have been the first time), and Ricochet did a total hulk-up as a result. Like hulked up enough he could've killed Bron if they'd done that, like it was Popeye's spinach. :)

What's so crazy is all these contracts ending is making for ALOT of conversation. Crazy thing is from Drew, to Seth, & Becky the person I've seen alot of us speak the most about is Ricochet and his contract ending. He went out in a BIG WAY and it's a huge cliffhanger that can have him over massive if he does return. But on another note they've also just made Bron Breakker looked like the most dangerous man on the roster for Monday Night Raw too. I'm curious to see where all this goes.

It's always cool to hear Bully say it: In AEW, the action is "balls to the walls", in the context of his comments about what he thinks Ricochet will have to do there to get over. Now, in full AEW mark mode, I will say that this is why I prefer AEW overall - the promotion that really puts on Total Non-Stop Action (pun intended). Yeah, you need stories and character development. Kudos to WWE for doing that very well, but I'm one of the niche market that still pops more for the graps, spot-fu, balls-to-the-walls, sh-t show. No problem with that. It's a preference.

Wrestling does not comes first in WWE. Most of the show is talking in ring promos, backstage promos, backstage fights, promotional segments for their next PLE, and soap opera reality type stuff, very little actual in ring wrestling. So if you are a true wrestling fan, then AEW is closer to true than WWE.

Up until that segment on Raw, I thought Ricochet was definitely going to AEW, but I think his best option is to negociate a better deal with WWE with this newfound publicity of both that segment and the potential of him going to AEW looming over WWE's head, I think that despite the chances of him being involved in more main events in AEW and probably being a slightly bigger fish there than he would in WWE, this is a great opportunity for him to grow more interest, long-term from the fans as a WWE wrestler than being a slightly bigger fish in AEW before interest in him will die completely within a month, it's a risk worth taking.

Bully hit it on the head. I been telling folks on SquaredCircle. Not even just the Samantha situation, think of Xia Li, Cameron Grimes etc that batch of releases. The last match was just that, a last match. If they had left it from the Bronn interference after the match from the previous week - then I'd be more willing to entertain the rumors. But even without Samantha, they introduced a building dynamic with Ilja and building a feud with Bronn. Already, and more so with Samantha in the mix, Its not a send off, its a new angle. The company's been real savvy with how they play wjth the dynamics of the reports too - what if they had Ricochet acknowledge that his contract was running up to stir the pot with the possibility of him leaving and ultimately getting interest and getting more eyes invested into this new angle being set up? I think Ricochet leaving is a work. They cannot follow up with Ricochet’s injury angle with Samantha hoping on the ambulance. The only way it would work really is if she was leaving too, which won’t happen. My guess is that Ricochet will just go onto free agency, take a hiatus, and return at Money in the Bank or a week or two before it to get payback on Breaker which will set up their PPV match. What will the reaction and the promos Breaker will going to give if he shows up at AEW or elsewhere? I ran your fiancé out of this company, and he is a coward for leaving? It would be anti-climatic. Also let's say he IS leaving, the reports were saying at first his contract expires sometime this summer. Maybe he still has some time and they will do a last feud with him against Breakker to try to make money and maybe convince him to stay. The reports started saying oh monday will be his last date, but we don't know when the contract really ends. Or maybe he did sign a short term extension to do this feud and see if he wants to resign with the wwe long term.

I felt like that whole attack seemed to be way over the top for it to be a send off for all the reasons that Bully was saying. If they were going to send him off they could have done something a little more lowkey for his send off that wouldn't need Samantha included.

I agree with Bully Ray. It was kinda strange for WWE to take these steps know all the reports and rumors about him leaving WWE. Besides that Ricochet and Dragonov had a strange promo noting a possible Dragonov vs Ricochet match up after Dragonov and Braun Breaker match. Why did WWE creative do that If he is leaving. Why include the possibility of a future match up between Ricochet and Dragonov. I think this is all a work in progress between Ricochet and WWE/Triple H. Why? Because I think WWE / Triple H proposed Ricochet a deal of a century possibly a deal he could not refuse based on the creative plans that give Ricochet the green light to create or form a new WWE Style Lucha Underground wrestle. Maybe this why Ricochet character is being killed off. Is it possible the WWE Universe can see the Prince Puma character debute in WWE and go after Braun Breaker playing a role as Ricochet friend getting vengeance for Braun’s destructive brutality on Ricochet. The possibilities for great creative work to bring Prince Puma character into WWE could also include WWE growing interest in possibly signing Pentigón to the promotion. We know his AEW contract ends in August 🤔 Perfect timing? Maybe WWE and Ricochet have been working on this for a few weeks behind the scenes to prevent any leaks that can screw up plans. If this happens and Ricochet stays could WWE see a new Lucha underground style in WWE. Anything is possible. Maybe WWE is working to help bring back Lucha Underground promotion. Imaging. The Portal is opening and WWE Universe is witnessing it happening right now. TNA with Jordan Grace, Marigold with Giulia, Noah promotions with Shinski Sakamora. This is going to interesting and exciting.
