Is Roundtable a Part of Training?

What do i do when my district does not have roundtable, and we do not have unit commissioners. We are a new troop and are having difficulty finding some of the support we would like. Thanks!

For a unit to be chartered it must have an assigned unit commissioner. As unit commissioners are rare and difficult to retain sometimes the district commissioner temporarily signs. Either way, you have commissioners somewhere in the council, it's just a basic leadership structure of Scouting in the United States. In some parts of the USA, councils are structured without districts. This could be because the council is servicing a remote location with very few units. This may also be true for districts that may be combined for the lack of having enough units to support a Roundtable/Pow-wow. I recommend calling your council service center and asking to speak with your district executive or field director. They can give you more specific information about your particular location.
