Royal high is a genuine ghost town, all the kids grew up and became edgy and rude, and a lot of the og's stopped playing due to how grindy it got and nobody even roleplays anymore which was the heart of the game

as a 2018 rh player, back then when enchatinx still existed it felt more fun, we can interact some items even tho yea its kinda old but man we still had roleplayers roaming around in fantasia, the reason i also quit was th same reason as some people its because we have to hella grind. back then, we just need to look for diamonds, nowdays i feel we get such little amount of dims. and sets werent that expensive, i also dont get it they should realize the game is slowly dying then why cant they lower the prizes or update frequently (ik updating the game is such a hard thing) :p

They changed so much. The game became a grinding game where all everyone does is farm. They got rid of diamond farming on the map and now the daily logins too. It’s ridiculous how long it takes to farm just ONE piece of clothing or shoes. 💀

Ex- RH youtuber heree! 8:29 thats our new currency. (unfortunatley. and we can't even trade for the items) We need to log in everday to get cloud cash to be able to get the fountain girl set. The only problem is the cloud cash is super inconsistent. Some players start off with none while others start off with a lot. Some players who logged in everyday still got 12-20 cloud cash (including me) So that just makes everything less fun. A lot of the stuff i mention is out of order so just bare with me. There are lots of reasons why the players just left. Another reason why its kinda dead is because the developers (not ALLof them, there were some.) hardly listen to the community. They've been coming out with toy sets for months, meanwhile there have been no sets for players who didn't buy the dolls. Most of the nicer sets are locked behind a paywall which makes it less fun for the players. They also removed the diamonds around campus 2 (5:13) which was the majority of the community's way of farming. Anything the community would ask for or say would be met with silence. Later on they (they being the official RH valks page) kinda -abandoned- left the community on twitter and moved to threads, the reason being the community was very -persistent- "Toxic" when it came to the new school, why it was taking so long, and why there were no new sets. (Probably because their main focus was the toys.) There was also a problematic dev (no longer active) who constantly riled up the Twitter community before or after an update would drop. 🤷‍♀ They also removed several badges from a ton of creators who may have at one point, spoken out- Which was the last straw for everyone so a lot of people left after that. Also, the steryotyped hairstyle name situation, the diversity when it came to body types, the valentines day divinia park Black History Month/lunar new year situation, refusal to fix the cherry blossom set, etc. The list goes on and on but these are just the main reasons. 🙃

As an og royale high player, I agree with your views so much! If you look at this back then, this creation was more than just a dress-up game. It was filled with so much laughter, and happiness. I genuinely miss the trolls, and when sets were not obnoxiously expensive. The fun, memories, and friendships we created, gave the game more recognition and appreciation. In these times, we may never feel the same happiness and enjoyment we felt playing this game - which makes Royale High a truly memorable experience.

When royal high announced that there will be no advent calendar this year, that was the END of me, also 300 diamonds FOR A GIFT!? I was grinding up diamonds for 2 years straight now, but since I have studies coming up I JUST CANNOT. No because I love Royale High and was so excited for the new school but when it came out and the players spawned directly in the new school, I was stuck in the loading screen and was just stuck there even if I waited all day! I tried on different accounts and devices like my pc, then a tablet, then phone but nothing was working. Unless I joined a player who was able to join the game and was in other realms other than the new school I could actually play the game but I still couldnt enter the new campus, andwithout a friend I couldnt do anything. This made me and some of my friends and cousins, who faced the same problems quit. The problem is as simple as the high graphics and our device not being able to handle it but still it was so frustrating tbh, so I just abandoned it all lol. I just wish we had a different option when we join like how we used to instead of directly into the new campus..

TLDR: I have very mixed feelings, and unpopular opinions about all of this and I don't want this game to die On one hand, I think Royale High is at a point of no return, because the updates just seem really weird and they always leave me thinking "Who actually asked for this?" It's how I felt with all the toys, and the recent login system with ANOTHER currency. It all seems KIND OF lazy. Also, it's just disappointing to see no Wickery Cliffs, no Snowglobe Summit, and yes I'm including New Years Town in this list that place was underrated. Why have these maps not return, I have no idea. And the grinding, how new player unfriendly it is, everyone already knows about that. On the other hand, I think Royale High could easily make a comeback if they just listened to what the players want. Make prices lower, make new players start off easier, etc. Because, unpopular opinion incoming, I think Dress To Impress is boring. Like don't get me wrong, I like the Lana Lore and stuff but the actual game? You dress up for 5 minutes, vote, winners announced, repeat. That's it. And all my favourite Royale High youtubers just make videos on that game and it's so repetitive and boring. To me, there is nothing that much to Dress To Impress that you can make content on it constantly. I appreciate that they have good updates, and release them on time, but TO ME when I play the game, you just play 3-5 rounds, get bored, and leave because the voting tends to be unfair. But compared to Royale High when it was popular? You could visit different places, roleplay, play some minigames, etc. And that's what I loved about it, it wasn't JUST a dress up game. Dress To Impress just seems like a modern version of Fashion Famous. But, something else that adds to the case is that TO ME Roblox in general is just boring now. And I want to maker it clear that I did NOT appreciate them trying to confiscate celebrity badges, yeah that was bad I admit. Honestly they just need to get more developers to sort the game out. So I don't want to be the kind of person that like "Ugh I played Royale High and now I hate it so I'm just gonna play DTI all the time to show it!" Because I still believe that the game can be saved, because I miss the feeling of hearing that a new Royale High update was out, and dropping literally everything I was doing and immediately getting on to play. Basically, I don't want Royale High to die.

The community sucks. Everybody online IS rude, aggressive and disgusting bullies. Barbie's husband is a weirdo and a gaslighter. After what callmehaley exposed everything behind the scenes of being a rh influcerer I was FRRRRR DONE with royale high. Yes it looks beautiful yes I was so excited about the new campus when it first came out but now it's just boring. They canceled the new years event last year, and I believe they did it TWICE. No advent calendar this year and the prices are way TOO HIGH IT'S FREAKING ANNOYING. I can't get SHIT even though I'm a OG player and I have like 400k+ diamonds, that is still not enough. You need at least 2 million to get everything and also have some left over to save. The dorms in the third campus it's difficult to build, as much as I loveeee the idea, they should have made it less HARDER to build and as well as not too pricy. It's hard to grind diamonds, I can barely get any diamonds at this point. The game just point blank sucks nowadays. It's not a good game no more and there is no point in playing when you can barely get items. It takes YEARS to grind literally. The game is a not new player friendly either. And for that reason I have quit. I haven't played the game in a year now. For the ones who are saying they don't want the game to die, well too bad. We all were thinking the same thing but you can't lie about the fact that the game is boring and not new player friendly no more. It's difficult to grind diamonds in that game so there is no point in playing. But hey, if you still wish to play, be my guess! But at the end of the day, the game is dying and it's time to move and find new games to play. Hopefully there will be a new game that will give us those good old memories that we had in Royale High.

as an og player, Yes, yes it is :') Honestly i think it started when trading came out, but it went down more faster at 2022. -No one Roleplayed anymore (Which was one of the main aspect of Rh back then) -Sets got more expensive -Things become more grindy -late updates -Grinding diamonds also become harder when they changed the diamond spawn point into random place instead of set location in campus 2. Also removed the enchantix high. + Yeah Rh isn't new player friendly now unless you have nothing else to do than just grind in rh. -All the current players care about now is trading. -Also to decorate your dorm decently you probably need like 200k -1 mil diamonds. and certain levels to unlock some dorm editing features :/ -Og players grew up, most of them now have jobs, college, real life stuff to do and as the game became more grindy, they don't bother catching up anymore. -Many controversial drama behind the scenes like problematic content creator and devs -Devs not listening to the community -Advent calendar got canceled this year, which is why they put the once free to get winter accessories for sale in the store. -Masc body getting changed into a more twinkified version lol -Also there's many new pretty sets (Toy sets) but a lot of them are behind paywall :/ Probably the most hated thing in the recent update rn is the change in daily login reward, You no longer earn diamonds and instead another type of currency (Which is the one you can use to buy the fountain girl set) But this also cut off another way for players to earn diamonds (especially the one who doesn't have time to grind). You used to able to earn atleast 5k a week from just login reward, and more with the login multipliers if you keep going, now it's no longer an option :/ Long but ty if you read it until the end lol Tell me in the replies if there's more reason why Rh is dying Edit: added more list

I grew up with RH. The fast but low quality updates were gold to us. The things weren’t expensive, and I always was so excited to finish school and hop on the game with my friends. The Christmas village, which came back for 2-3 updates, was peak nostalgia and we never complained, as it was still fun af. Our outfits were easier to be made and roleplays were hella fun. Now they are just money hungry. Slow updates, good quality but end up being boring af after waiting for a hella while. Nobody plays it anymore, so you can’t hang out with anyone now. Clothes and room decorations are expensive, tryna make us farm hours, days even a month to get something we really want, which also puts in danger our health. What tf was the point of the room if you are gonna charge us more money to get a room decoration than IKEA ever would? Its a game, not real life. A roleplaying game, not a farming game. We want our royale high back. Without toxic and money hungry developers, and bratty children that ruin the entire game.

i kinda hate rh because not adding more black hairstyles and not fixing cb set, + the dolls are way too overpriced and rh is not a game i can make friends in cuz now ppl are not chatting just farming for stuff (exept trading hub) i feel like ppl are also hating because they didnt finish the phases for campus three and now they started campus 4, I was so exited for the gymnasium and cafeteria, they even added the cafeteria theme to the pianos to make us believe it was coming. i also hate how they blocked all the easy farming methods now the only way to farm is to level up, they also blocked the laptop login thing for diamonds and replaced it with cloudcash and they made the shredder set kind of expensive bcuz the diamond login streak is gone now.

I don't think (personally) that the problem was the lack of updates. Honestly, it was that time that was more enjoyable because people still tried to roleplay or find fun around maps. What caused the issue was how the old royal high disappeared with no trace. Old players who were the base for the game's success became bored of how new and changed everything was, how hard and boring it became. You can't do anything anymore, it's hard to understand even for new players. And when new players see how old players react, they take their word for it. They won't try a game that is told to be bad, they'll go to trendy ones. The day that Callmehbob died and Nightbarbie was born, was the day that Royal high died along with its fanbase. Clearly, most of us just grew out of the new updates.

I used to play Royale High for a long time and would always try to keep up to date on what's new and try to grind for diamonds a lot, as well as do the daily logins. Eventually, it got to a point where I got bored and even with the drama that went on social media with some youtubers/influencers/artists being told to stay silent on certain things made me feel not wanting to play as much. Not to mention the toxicity of some people on social media attacking the devs or people who are/were involved with RH. I still enjoy the people I still follow who make other content and I'm not against anyone who still enjoys Royale High. It's just kind of grown out of me after quite awhile. I remember I introduced RH to one of my friends and he gave it a try and we would make some fun outfits and just have a good time together. But I also feel some things in RH currently may need some attention or at least some changes about certain things, but I won't get into details on it. Overall, if you still like RH that's great. I may check in on it once in awhile to see how the game is doing, but it wouldn't be my first pick for games to play on Roblox as of now. The old days of RH were such a nostalgia. Wish we could just go back down memory lane from all those fun times. 🥲

Some of the biggest issues I have are with the doll sets. They’re completely locked behind the purchase of irl dolls to get a code to redeem to get them. I would’ve understood if the codes you got from the dolls gave a really good discount. But to lock the set behind the purchase of a toy that you likely other wise wouldn’t even get just feels so scummy. Also, the sunset island mini game is absolutely busted. It’s in desperate need of fixing. There are a couple bugs in it. - The voting hitboxes will sometimes block out the hitboxes of other players, or just disappear entirely. This results in it sometimes being impossible to even vote for some players. And - Sometimes people can get stuck in the floor, which makes the, unable to move, even in scripted cutscenes. This can make it difficult for other players to see their outfit so they can actually decided if they wanna vote for it.

Kinda takes balls to not care for real. But the new generation of players (as few as they are) still keeps it somewhat alive 😔 The day I see no more players without sets casually play in campus 1 and 2 is the death of this game. 😭

i remember watching your channel when you had 100k subs it wasn't like the other videos about royale high not like the other content creators,not wow the update is comming ! wow this update this and that jani genuinely made me feel like royale high could be fun and not just endless farm, ive been playing since 2018, i don't play it as much as i did before, i graduated college a week ago and seeing something i was so passionate die because of their own creators, pains me so much,is not that i hate the game,probably you too, we just grow up.

I miss old Royale high because the roleplay, the farming was easy for me, and good updates but now the farming is now harder for me because they removed the old spots for diamonds☹

I'm so sad it was my favorite game back then but now everyone is leaving for dti and in my opinion it's not even good I hate it so much and I stopped playing when gigi did bad things and you may be like it doesn't matter it doesn't affect the game well you are still supporting her because you are buying stuff but if you aren't then alright but I just really miss Royale high and it makes me so sad 😭

Same when everyone started moving to dti i tried to do so but i didn't get the hype that much :/ Maybe because i grew up in Rh when we used to have ROLEPLAYS instead of just dressing up maybe thats why i wasn't really interested with dti. (I moved to fantasia now to roleplay)

To be honest, I've been playing royale high since 2018-2019, and by time I understand less and less about the game. Things are getting more and more expensive, and with this new school and other things it's hard for me to get diamonds, and my motivation goes away quickly. It makes me a headache to play with so many new things. 😞😞 I appreciate you talking about this!!

Tbh i used to play rh back from end of 2020 and i llkove the game cause of the dressing up options and seeing my character in these outfits i created was my joy tbh but now i moved oon from the game and now do dti things but i hope that rh will try t listen to there community and try to change there ways and also fans ways of being sooo nasty to the devs when some of them are soo young sooo i hope that it will improve and i just want my fav that i loved being successful and doing well❤❤❤

Sunset Island and rainy class room have not updated at all. Sunset island has unfair voting and boring themes. Rainy day class room is just musical chairs with nothing else more then that. It is true there really is no fun way to grind or get diamonds unless your talking to friends. Also theres a new currency that is cash and you get it from the daily login which they replaced the diamonds with cash that you get everyday but the thing is that the fountian girl set is still SO MUCH. (Im still mad that they replaced the diamonds with cash bc the daily login was the easiest way to get diamonds 😔)

Jani i think there's no way for royale high to gain it's peak again.When they released the dolls back in July everyone left and also content creators such as: Beaplays,callmehhaley, more haley got her badge removed for giving constructive criticism towards the game, and she moved on to dti, watching the content creators leave, when i just joined 2 and a half years ago, feels sad 😭
