I’m not gonna lie, one of the things that destroyed royal high the most, is them placing the aesthetics of the game, over the roleplaying aspect, another thing is how the game ended up failing so much is because it’s not friendly for new players, AT ALL. My friend was hacked and beamed in royal high, and she ended up having to quit her 6 years of playing the game, because everything was too expensive and would take too long to earn everything back.

I just want to point out that the person in the video mentioned that Rh doesn't include plus-size bodies. The Rh developers are aware of this but have decided not to address the issue. However, in DTI, while they also don’t have plus-size bodies, the developers have acknowledged the concern and provided valid reasons for why they cannot immediately create these models. They explained that resizing a lot of the clothes to fit these bodies would be time-consuming, and it might result in a decrease in the availability of certain clothing options for plus-size models due to the complexity involved. Although the DTI developers can’t fulfill certain requests right now, they don’t make empty promises like Rh and are committed to delivering what they can to the best of their ability.

royale high was mainly a dress up ROLEPLAY game, once they removed the roleplay part to it all was left was a dress up game that they made too expensive and too grindy. While DTI is strictly a dress up game with a lot more free items and much easier ways to get the money bought items (Like the Madoka Set)

As someone who's been playing since Halloween 2017 (a few months after Rh was released), the reason why most of my RH friends quit and moved on is actually because of all the things you've said, I'm starting to fall into the loop of wanting to be rich, but when I look at all of the new plays that are confused and have no clue how to play with NO start (reminder RH is no longer beginner friendly as of 2022), and I feel bad because i don't want them to feel stressed If they do actually enjoy RH

It would be nice, but its important to remember that theyre already struggling with adding a male body type. If youre asking me with what I want them to add, focusing on the implementation of more male clothing/hair would probably be top priority. Plus it would be a good exercise for them to add more body types in the future.

my main issue with dti is that the playerbase can be VERY discriminatory. ive worn the same outfit for the same theme in 2 different skin tones, and the poc placed last with the non poc outfit placing 3rd. ive also had disgusting things said to me and others whilst wearing poc outfits, which is just not ok. im not defending royale high, but it happens there too, albeit a lot less.

I used play Royal high a lot back then it used to be so fun when the items were cheap and role playing but as the game grew it wasn’t as fun anymore items were getting more expensive and wasn’t as fun or explore because of needing to grind on the game for diamonds for expensive items and even purchasing diamonds is expensive which makes feel like the game just for a cash grab now and it wasn’t as fun anymore (again) and I just stoped playing and played different games. For those who aren't in the DTI Discord server, I HIGHLY suggest you join it, not for the people there, but for those who work on the game, such as the devs who are pretty active in the community. They not only give spoilers, they hear out players thoughts. Plus size bodies or more black hairstyles are goals that have been aimed towards. Having multiple body rigs is probably the most difficult though as all the clothing, shoes, hair, & accessories have to be adjusted to each one. Most of what is in game still doesn't work with the male body. The Discord is also used to report inappropriate player behavior such as people taking advantage of certain themes to make racist outfits. This is why some themes have gotten removed, not all, just a good handful.

rant warning, The main reason why the game died is no one roleplay's anymore, roleplaying was why i loved playing rh besides the fact i loved dress up games. Moving on to the next reason it's still not new player friendly it takes ages to farm even when u farm for a hour WITH both diamond gamepasses u only get like 28k or a bit more. So imagine how long it would take without the gamepasses it's so sad to see how rh died as i and others used to play it 24/7 but dti deserves the hype it's getting since the devs listen to the community and the fact they work on issues the game has ex: lack of black hairstyles, male stuff. I admit i still play rh but the game is so dead now and the items are soooo expensive not to mention the unfair voting in sunset people never vote leading to winners that suck, i will forever love royal high since i've played it since 2019 but unless they make a proper apology get a new team make more sets that are less expensive or even start a new game the game will flop leading to only like 1k players a day my final thoughts are dti deserves the hype but rh needs to update their game or else it's gonna be dead dead.

I joined DTI and RH during their betas. DTI listens, while RH aid ruining themselves. I had an oc based off of me, with the valentina corset, to be plus-sized.. To go to moonlight square, private server to see the new update.. Just for the corset to be skinnier. Which made me feel like I wasn’t good enough. Plus it also ruined 45 saved outfits. Edit/note: Also RH hasn’t gotten a colab yet either someone as big as Charlie XCX, but 17th of August, DTI will have a collaboration w/her.

I’ve played royale high since very early 2018/late 2017 I traded everything away and I don’t play anymore I think it started when the new school came out, and when people’s badges got taken away for speaking their truth about the game I remember them tweeting out in September 2021 that the new school would be out soon. It came out last year. It just became money hungry, everything got way too expensive I wish I could refund all my gamepasses I first played dress to impress in december, but really got into it in january I really enjoy how the devs actually care about their players I like the freedom of dressing up without having to spend hours grinding with money it reminds me of old dress up flash games I used to play

Can I just point out how desperate the Rh players (including me) were for good dress up games. Not only is the RH pricing insanely high but also makes no sense considering it’s advertised for a fairy dress up roleplay game. And let’s be honest, who really enjoys playing sunset island anymore? Dti has given us everything we want and were missing from Rh, good clothes, diversity (maybe lacking in the mens section a bit but they’re improving), fun gameplay, room for imagination, a fun player base, creative themes etc. Even without the comparison between these two Dti is just genuinely that good of a game and it deserves all the love and more!

I'm a little bit versed in 3D software, new body types would entail sculpting, rigging and weight-painting all the current clothes in the game to new body meshes one by one, which is VERY time-consuming, so it's honestly understandable such an update would take a while to roll out. I'm very glad they're acknowledging the idea at the very least! But I wouldn't hold it against them if they end up deciding against doing it, or releasing an update within a very long time frame.

Ive been playing royale high since it released in 2017. its always been my favorite game on roblox and its so so sad to see it declining in players. yet its completely understandable why! nobody actually listens and a lot of players are quite rude in my experience. Dont get me wrong, obviously thats not everyone and a lot of people are nice! but not only is royale high no longer an inclusive space where they update and do things for the community its really unsafe and toxic as well! as of recently, I've witnessed kids and people in general getting bullied over buying the doll due to the company apparently supporting bad things. honestly i think all the drama is ridiculous, if they want to buy a doll, let them! its really not anyone elses business but theirs. nobody can get along all the time, its physically impossible. but its so sad to see on a game that used to be so full of happiness with such a big community! I used to LOVE royal high like last and I used to play it for hours on end enjoying every minute but it is just dead now! I remember in 2020 when the campus 3 was announced and at the time apparently it was coming soon and I was so excited and I know so many others were too. But this update was so hyped up only for it to get delayed delayed and more delayed , when it finally came out personally I was very disappointed since it was basically just the map and and everything else was ‘coming soon’ which a lot of it still isn’t out. RH used to be so fun roleplaying but now it’s boring there began to be less updates or the same or any updates just began to be robux or extremely expensive in dimonds! I have been playing dti for a while now and I absolutely love it there’s always updates, the devs listen and it is just engaging since there is always something new and fun to discover!

to be honest i still play both games. i love the customisation of rh, like how i can change my own diary and locker, and i like the cute school. and idk if it’s just me but i find grinding fun? at the right times. but im lucky enough to have x6 diamonds, i can see how frustrating it is for others without it. and dti seems like a better option for those who purely liked the dress up features of rh, especially that is seems you’d be playing a game from a much more competent dev team. so i switch games depending on how i feel! but rh’s history makes me want to steer away 😭

Making new body types would take a really long time, and also have some pros AND cons. Pros- As you agreed with, this could help the smaller kids understand different body types, and help inclussivity. This could also teach kids to accept other body types and help them to accept their own body. What I mean by that is if they're able to understand that any body can and does look gorgeous. Cons- Adding different body types could really slow down the process of adding new things. I can only assume that those who are part of the team making the new clothes and such have already, hopefully, mastered the body base already. Which means it would now take less time to make new clothing items and such because they already know what they have to do so it fits said base. Adding new body types could slow down this process. They would have to make completely new sizes for almost every item in-game (except probably jewellery, hats, bags, and ect.). This means it could slow down updates too, because now ever item they would plan on adding would have to also fit every body type. This could upset so many players who love the game, because no matter what, almost every update will take way longer then they are used to. As much as I love the idea, I really wouldn't mind if it didn't happen, as long as the creators and such aren't overworked.

I think a major point that made DTI so popular was because of Lana. It was a really good idea to add a bit of lore. Secondly, the prices are SO low. I'm a Runway Queen and getting items are so easy compared to Aspiring Models etc. Thirdly, I love how one of the devs is addicted to Royale High. They aren't trying to fight. Fourthly, the fact that they actually listen. As a former RH player I think that RH could really use these things. Plus one thing I missed is the inclusitivity. They actually kept the male stuff and are working for male items, and they give valid reasons to no plus size bodies. Sorry RH but in conclusion DTI is just better in general.

i used to play royal high with a friend and i played it when it was still enchatix (i think i spelled it wrong) i remember when things were simpler, you constantly saw people roleplaying and participating in mini games and classes and it was so nostalgic and fun. i especially loved the days when we had the beautiful christmas events with the christmas tree and apartments. i feel like now you have to sell your money and life away just to get a little bit farther in the game. as someone who took a huge break from the game and i came back to see how expensive everything is, it was a HUGE drawback. i was so excited seeing they added dorms that you can decorate, just to see that the CHEAPEST bed took all the diamonds i had. how can you encourage players to be creative when they’re spending 90% of their time playing the game grinding because they cant afford anything. all in all i think royal high is lucky they at least have 10k active players since they do a terrible job at keeping promises and actually listening to their community. dress to impress had JUST came out with the brat update but changed certain things when their fans said they didn’t like it.

After joining Dress To Impress for the first time I thought the prices were outrageous but as I played more and saw how much you could gain in little time I thought it wasn’t that bad. Dress to impress is very beginner friendly and encourages lots of creativity. The same cannot be said about Royal High though. The prices are outrageous, the game play is all task related now, and diamond collecting is barely even worth it. Dress To Impress is by far so much better with their player base interactions and their updates and pricing. Being a VIP to get extra money isn’t needed and you don’t have to buy five thousand game passes to get patterned clothes or extra cash so you aren’t drowning in the prices.

I started playing RH around Mid-2019 and I quit / stopped playing frequently in march of 2024. The game used to be brimming with roleplayers, MVS, and the atmosphere was much more social, nowadays whilst the visual experience has improved, the ui got better, etc. the gameplay got way worse and unless barbie somehow sells her game im certainly never retruning. if your wondering i sometimes play dti but i actually play crk and pjsk way more often. and ill probably start playing astro again soon. 6:13 also offtopic BUT LOOK ITS MIZUKI!!!!!

As a Royale high player who played since 2020 I had a winter halo 2022 but later got scammed in the trading hub then I started grinding,leveling up and I even buyed the Patterns gamepass I recently quit the game because of the high pricing.. I played royale high again recently and everything was just grinding and leveling up. I started playing Dress to impress now and it is amazing. The updates,designs, and the low pricing are perfect and are great! The grinding is not like too much but it still has grinding but it is fun though. And I love the way dress to impress Does updates like the Massive summer update, The brat update coming on august 17th and another update coming on august 22nd and also the Lana lore. Dress to impress devs are really working hard for the community and they deserve all the fame but Royale high is just getting greedy.

I would like to say smt about both games in all honesty, In the case of Royale High the game IS the problem while in the case of dress to impress the community playing it IS the problem. Just lemme explain, with Royale High there are just so many issues that were made by the dev team, on the other hand the problem with DTI isn't the game itself bc the dev team are actually putting effort BUT the community bc they create issues within the game, now I'm not saying that all people who play DTI are the problem, ofc not. The thing is that some people who play DTI are causing issues like, unfairly voting, coping outfits, hating on other games, dressing inappropriately, being toxic towards "bad" outfits etc. Im not saying that RH community is absolutely clean, ofc not but i think that we can all agree that the game is the main problem which makes it not being fun to play, but with DTI it's the community that is the main problem.

I prefer Royale High because there is more freedom and worlds and sure on Dress To Impress there’s more free stuff but I prefer earning or buying items like Royale High and not getting free stuff like Dress To Impress and also the games are different and I don’t really like how all you can really on Dress To Impress is one thing when on Royale High there’s more things to do and also there’s more things in Royale High and you can get custom makeup for free and more faces when in Dress To Impress they don’t have a lot of faces for me and the custom makeup cost robux and Royale High has free custom makeup. Also, idk if this is the same for anyone else but when the new campus dropped (I don’t rlly play anymore but I think it was the third one) I was so laggy it was unplayable. I could barely move, things were coming up on my screen and I couldn’t get rid of them, if I went into dress up mode and came out, my camera would freeze and probably so much more that I didn’t see because I would leave the game so quickly. Also with that campus, I found it so confusing and I was intimidated. My friends understood it and tried to explain it to me but I just didn’t get it. I was also very intimidated by dorms because of the price and my friend told me that there was only 1 classroom (not that I had any idea how to get to it). I couldn’t imagine trying to role play in this. I have spent so many hours in rh but everyone feels so much better than me, there is basically no one role playing anymore and it is all about grinding and trading.

Before all of theese popped out of nowhere, i was complaining about how hard it is to roleplay in campus 3, because when you wanna go to ur dorm, you need to tp, you wanna go to the bathing quarters? Teleport. And when i stated my opinions the high level players would attack me saying “you should be grateful that theyre putting so much effort” or when i said they never updated the summer island they attacked me again with the same things. I dont play the game since those times and Dress to Impress is WAYYY better than Rh in everyway.

I remember Royale high being a huge part of my childhood it was may favourite game to play, but after not updating for a long while I stopped and when I finally thought of revisiting I felt that it no longer felt like that game I had played in the past. The toys especially through me off, it used to be a fun carefree role play game where we just got to hang out with friends it was like my little escape but now it’s just too much to buy any of the accessories, and room decor plus the updates take forever to come out. I’m really disappointed, my ones favourite game had turned out like this it’s sad knowing that this was the route they went down 😢

The reason i don't play Rh alot is because it's annoying that they keep adding sets for real money. It's also alot harder to earn diamonds now since you have to buy the book, And dorm items. Also they don't listen to their players unlike dti. I still play rh because it's still a nice game but they have to fix this. I used to play royale high all the time when I was like 10 years old; roleplaying was my favorite! I am so glad to have played it while roleplay was a rampant thing on roblox because I honestly found it so fun. As I am 17 it is not something that I’d do anymore, but I am thankful for that experience and the memories, I am sad to have learned royale high isn’t a game like that anymore :(

Off topic but I also got the rococo theme on dti and I went all out with layering and a full on dress with a giant curly hair combo, a parasol, and a fan with jewelry, this girl also went full out and was totally on theme, like me and she literally got first and 2 other people with terrible outfits got second and third and I got freaking 8 and no I didn’t even vote the girl who got 1st place or any of the people on the podium so idk why I would not get voted with a beautiful outfit but another person with a really good outfit would win. I never had a problem with this until they started making the prices higher, and making more robux and irl money items.. also idk why they would make ALL the heels so expensive, and if u buy the rlly expensive heels, they’re usually worth nothing, yk the smf (summer fantasy) heels well, those on traderie and according to most rh players they’re worth 20k if u get lucky, they are some ppl offering 12k for them, so like 50k heels for 10-20k? I started playing RH long before the game was called that, back then it was called Faries & Mermaids Winx High School. I am a really big fan of the Winx Club series and seeing a game that was inspired by my favorite series was one of the biggest. of the world, I felt like I was in Alfea and that I was part of the Winx Club (now as an adult I feel the same emotion as games like Howarts Mystery or Howarts Legacy since over the years I became a Potterhead) and I was there the whole time. When they changed the campus from Winx High School to Enchantix High, the Hotel, the first skirts and headdresses and Autumn Town 2017, I was even at the premiere of Campus 1, without a doubt, the best year for RH was 2018, Campus 2, the lobby and the earth does not know how much the earth and the 2018 Halloween update everything was amazing at that time. I also think that year the "Day of Death" thing was launched (since I'm Mexican and it's great, you see that at least it located the Spanish-speaking community, it's already stressful that you're in a sever with pure Agla-Saxons) It's a shame to see that a game that was so important to me ended, I don't have the best economy in the world every year at least I invested an amount of robux into my account and I feel that all the objects are expensive and sometimes it forces you to spend money (that became a Pay to Win) I spent too much on Royale High in 2018-2019 since it was the most game I played when I was 12 years old but honestly it is stressful that every new thing has to be spend real money I'm sorry for the English how to see I'm a spanish speaker the English is not my first tongue

I used to play rh with my irl friends and roleplayed almost every time we were together. However,I also played with other people on the game when roleplaying was still the main purpose of it.I was so sad to see enchantix high leave.. Right now,I don't play rh almost at all.I rarely do,and I've just come back recently to see how it is going.Most people are busy completing tasks to level up and farm,and no one even bats an eye at roleplaying anymore. And the sad thing is that this game is not friendly for new players.Most items like heels,skirts,corsets or accesories from newer sets cost a lot of diamonds that take time to farm,and the devs need to understand that not everyone is keen on being active everyday to farm on this game. Some people have jobs and don't always have time for an online game,while others have school/uni and want to focus on their grades too.Farming games make you feel the need to have more,which results in more screentime. By doing that,ppl lessen their time spent studying by playing and that's not ok. (Sorry for the yapping session,but I spent a lot of my own time on this game and now I feel very bad for seeing its downfall because of miscommunication and actual online inflation in the rh prices lmao)

I’ve been playing royal high since I joined Roblox and it was so much fun back then, you had role plays, the ball and I liked how you needed to teleport to different realms to spin the wheel or make a wish at the fountain in the park ( I’ve forgot the name already) but now it’s all in one realm and it bothers me a lot because as this video or other creators video that I watched before this one it said that kids brains are rotted and I mean it, the tasks are quick and it makes the kids that play in the game entertained because of the short form videos like tik tok, reels, KZbin short etc. and the similarity makes the kids as I said entertained, And it shows how much the royal high “staff” don’t care, they wanna make money and I personally think that they maybe assume “oh we gonna change the campus 3 and 4 for the different seasons like we did for campus 2 maybe they will feel nostalgic about that” but I just don’t get the same feeling I did when I played like 2-5 years ago. And the fact that heels, skirts, sleeves, corsets and accessories- (most of the time) are around 10k to 70k it just doesn’t make any sense because the newbies to royal high don’t even have that much time or energy(plus money to buy robux to buy diamonds) to farm for weeks or months to buy some heels? I’ve played the game for approximately 4-5 ish years and I’m on level 400 something and I remember that I was farming to level 500 for campus 3 and I think it’s so absurd because why are limiting people from enjoying a game? And maybe some people will say “oh it was for beta version” but campus 4 was level 200 and up to join the beta version… I just don’t think they should be limiting people from enjoying and feeling like a part of something just because they didn’t “work hard enough” to deserve it? And I’m so so so disappointed with the Halloween update this year. •apple bopping is gone •you don’t go around and trick or treat because they didn’t include that part and how you got chased by the monsters if you knock on the wrong house or something •there is no maze anymore that was also so much fun ( I mean the ones that were actually hard and you won diamonds and some item if you completed the maze with) and the monsters are in the corn maze but they don’t do anything but stand there? •they didn’t include the ghost hunting either •the apple picking to make apple cider is so boring and the pumpkin thing too it’s really competitive and the last updates were not. •the candy bags were so much fun too like I think 2017-2023 (not sure) you got a candy bag that you went around with and trick or treat with •doing the Halloween tasks were fun to do but when you were picking up the leaves for me it was always like 2 leaves left •the only 2 things that I enjoyed were the acorn game and the witch thingy. I just don’t have any motivation to play it anymore because people don’t role play there no more because it’s just awkward to ask because it’s always farmers in the servers that don’t care and the stuff for outfits and room are to expensive and I just think the updates were made for people that spend money on diamonds or people that have farmed for so long they can actually afford it. I’ll try to give it a chance some time this week but otherwise I’ll just give up at this point until they get better with updates and listening to the community. ill tell ya what i hated about royal high because im a Royal player before , now im a Dti Baddie 1:Very laggy and unplayable for me as a mobile user" (Royal high was used to be my fav dressing game and when the new school comes out it like a chef kiss but over time i noticed i can't fly properly in the game and it gets so laggy every time the when an update is out like Christmas update came out its so laggy like they revamp the map too much that is laggy) 2:Too many animation on screen or on (both the whole map and the map you used to teleport is so laggy and slow because of the animation taking too long to load and the teleporting animation sometimes my screen gets stuck on one spot that i can't click the portal and that stupid invisible Wall in the rainy day classroom game that it making me laggy and i can't even play for 1 hour without joining again and again and again because i keep on getting kick because it so laggy) 3:Royal high devs not warning us about the new graphics and keep Dumping update that the game gets even more laggy like the summer update that there is so many things that happening on the server i can't play without lowering the graphic both on my settings and phone yet im still lagging i haven't played on that update for 5min before leaving because its that laggy at least Dti tells us when its laggy and the graphic change unlike royal high) thoses are just a few but i was talking about gameplay because i can't injoy a game if the gameplay and graphic sucks or you were never warned about it in the first place theres tons more i hated about royal high but i just gave yall the main ones that i hated about it. . i was never angry at a game i used to love than royal high wish they will fix their game and makes it least laggy and many more things both mobile, pc, computer, tablet players wanted to be changed..

dti devs asked the community for ideas for the upcoming halloween update and i think thats rlly cool :) with such a huge community, theres sooo many good suggestions. im just hoping for a jabot and v bangs lmaoo

Nah even in Royale Highs decline, its still WAY better than Dress To Impress. Idc if DTI is more popular, RH is way better. How tf people can sit for hours making outfits following themes over and over makes no sense to me. Even in RH Sunset Island I couldnt do it. I just dont see how people can prefer DTI over RH

Im really sad at the downfall of royale high but it will still remain my favourite im not letting it go It’s literally been with me from a young Age and i’ve spent years playing it also the players are to blame too for the decline because no one really wants to roleplay anymore🤷‍♀️It’s not like there was thousands of things for roleplaying before too? We just had to use our imagination…

You dont have to stop playing or boycotting! I know a lot of people love the game and I do too. Sometimes I want to get back on but then I get annoyed again lol. Im honestly going to play when the new campus comes out to see if its any good. Maybe the new campus will bring old players back!

Honestly, I dont really like DTI (bc of playerbase issues), but I agree completely with the RH allegations. Like honestly I just want the devs to step up. I wouldn't even mind if we get new devs or something.

I moved from Royale High to Dress to Impress. Despite the different genres, the only reason I played Royale High was to dress up. So, it was a decent transition for me. Makes me happy to see DTI with so many more players ngl...
