Personally, as someone who's been rocking out OSRS since it came out, i've been playing alot of GIM on RS3 and its so much more enjoyable, my favorite part being the community. Everyone is so polite and nice

Group Ironman increased the player count for sure! I’m also not noticing bots-guess that’s what happens when the gold price crashes. Playing on my country’s world has been amazing; everyone is so polite and nice. Honestly, RS3 feels way more nostalgic for me than OSRS right now!

if you havent played runescape at all, rs3 might be an easy way to play through, but old school runescape is the prime

That's for sure. RS3 is beginner-friendly, but OSRS is pure nostalgia for me.

Eh... osrs is a lot more simple to learn. Rs3 is a lot more to learn. I hop between the two and not much changes in osrs. Yet with rs3 it's continuously changing.

@ I'd actually argue that RS3 is easier to learn than OSRS. With things like the action bar, tooltips, and more modernized interfaces, it does a lot to help new players. It's like any other MMO. OSRS, on the other hand, relies more on external guides and old-school knowledge to be efficient. RS3 has more mechanics, sure, but it's also way more accessible if you take the time to learn it.

I will say I tried OSRS recently (leagues and ironman) and RS3 is superior with the run energy being balanced properly, combat being more rewarding, more fun bossing, better quality of life, and graphics Agreed that Menaphos holds up extremely well

Totally agree... the QoL updates were amazing. I can’t understand all the hate RS3 is getting. It might be nothing like OSRS, but as you said, as a GAME, it’s amazing.

as a previous 20 year trim comp max runescore rs3 player, I've sinced switched to osrs. rs3 is a soulless shell going nowhere. dont invest.
