I’m Russian. Alexei is our hero and, sad to say, but probably the last chance for Russia that will arise in some years to come. Russia is in ruins thanks to the ego n greed of one only person. Most people’s monthly salary is around $150-200. $300-400 is considered to be fantastic. Unfortunately some Russian people, mostly elderly, are brainwashed by state tv propaganda (that’s always blaming everything on the West), some are in the state of learned helplessness, aren’t used for taking an action and fighting for their rights. Think, my people were always under tzars and dictators. They don’t know a democracy is. People who don’t have this mental cataract, support Alexei. He became like a family member for many people who know what this honest fearless man is doing in promoting democratic principles in his country and fighting the corrupted regime. And now while is jail, his kidney function is rapidly declining and he can develop arrhythmia any moment. We don’t expect anybody to fight for us but support on media and democratic leaders repeatedly calling on allowing medical workers to Navalny would definitely help a lot. Of course we believe he should be free because the man is innocent. But right now it’s a MEDICAL EMERGENCY and the authorities don’t allow competent medical staff to the jail.

Navalny is scary to United Russia not because he's any good, but that he represents a united opposition. The only way United Russia and the oligarchs who back them are going to survive is if they can continue to keep the opposition fighting amongst themselves. Better to keep Navalny alive because he doesn't have much appeal outside the major cities and can now be portrayed as a western plant. That being said, Lenin also came back from Germany.

@@senomaganu2723 Actually, he represents nobody.....His political party holds no seats in any of the Russian legislative chambers....so he has ZERO direct influence on the Russian political agenda.......He and his political party are only agitators....paid for by the CIA
@mark34273 жыл бұрын
@@senomaganu2723 it's not a question of how large his opposition may be. It's a question of daring to oppose. You oppose the regime in Russia then you face serious consequences. But the Russian population see it as "poisoning ? ah well, these things happen" "Oligarchs steal our money , ah well, these things happen" . . Is that how the Russian people are happy to live?

i'm afraid that navalny is yet another darling of the big city dwelling high class & the western opposition. i doubt that you held a 100 presidential elections in russia if he'd win even a single one. yes! hes a prominent opposition leader, but is the opposition eve a thing outside Moscow's fashionable circles?
