Just came back from fishing for the first time with these. The canal tarpon kept hammering and hammering. Pretty cool for it being the first time I use em !

When the Bum hooked that big fish and the camera view was pointing down at his feet I laughed pretty hard because with all his grunting and knee flexing he looked and sounded like he was trying to unloose a massive.

I use the z man slam shadys and they work great. More size options and more durable. Have caught reds, snook, trout, and flounder on them, still yet to fool a tarpon on the slam shady though. Also you do realise if you can them they can see you lol snook have very good eyesight.

Atlantic croakers are an amazing bait to catch snook!!! I've seen snook destroy 5" to 6" croakers when they would not touch any other bait! When I was a kid we would see the snook line up under the local bridge in S Florida. We would throw the kitchen sink at them(shrimp, finger mullet, pinfish, etc.). They would not touch them! Throw a croaker and bam, away we go! Snook absolutely love croakers!!!!!

Watched yours and Brad's vids. Fixing to watch Brant's version. Very interesting to know there is so much wildlife thriving down there in that very populated part of Florida. Driving down the Interstate, you sort of hit a spot where it is populated as crap. And it stays that way all the way to Miami. Thankfully it's not gotten to that point yet in Northern Fla.

Awesome series of videos again, I love the south Florida stuff. All those species of cichlids are crazy. The peacocks, tilapia, oscars, and the Mayans are all in the cichlid family. There are a bunch more types too. Tilapia are African cichlids and the rest you caught are Central or South American. People eat all of them. I'd love to try catching and eating them myself.

Love y'all, but FWC says to not live release Oscars because they are an invasive species. I get it that many viewers would be upset about them being killed, but history has shown that non-native fish i.e. lionfish have reeked havoc on the ecosystem.

I was about to post the same comment, but thought I would scroll down first to check if someone else beat me to it. Oscars are terribly invasive down there and should never be released!

Ive been there a few times and some days it's just crazy and other days you will earn every one. I've seen the same thing with the peacocks. I found the Ps schooled up all in a small area and you could fish for 100 yards up the small canal and not see anything. Nice snook and they will take flies!

I do understand catch n release, if you have nothing better to do. However, when I go fishing, it is ti feed the Fam-Bam, unless the catch is too small.. But to release a perfectly large fish is beyond me. What? Y'all gonna come back in 2 years hoping to catch the same fish? "See ya Buddy" LoL. There are plenty of fish out there, freshwater or from the sea, that is why I'm against regulation. It's all about government control, in other words, the "Sheriff of Nottingham". Robbery under government control at It's best. F'n B.S.
